    Star Trek (Bally 1979)

    Special thanks and credit to:

    • jpsalas for the VP9 version of the table and used as the primary reference and script for this new build
    • wrd1972 for the awesome physics updates
    • 32assassin for the backglass art and many of his tables were used as references for various techniques implemented in this table
    • popotte for the playfield artwork
    • hauntfreaks for the lighting techniques found on his Roller Coaster table
    • nFozzy for the concept of compressible rubbers
    • ninuzzu for ball shadow and flipper shadows
    • The Visual Pinball developers for the awesome platform to build these tables to play so similar to their real life counter parts

This was the first pinball I ever purchased over 20 years ago as a thank you gift to my brother.  It provided our family with many years of entertainment until he sold it recently.  I took on this project to build a faithful recreation of the actual look, feel, and game play of that table.  I hope if provides as much enjoyment for you as it did for us.

    1.4.2

    • Updated plunger settings
    • Removed flipper script mod and adjusted flipper physics based on flipper physics testing table results
    • Slight adjustment to flipper visuals

    Version 1.4

    • Added ball, flipper, and playfield shadows.
    • Added bumper base prims.
    • Updated physics using high mass, low friction (HMLF) recommendations from WRD1972
    • Some lighting and other general updates.

    Version 1.2

    • Fixed upper right bumper switch resolving DOF issue

No. sorry i mean i got DOF fixed by selecting proper rom. The table kicker has a nice saucer effect when ball enters kicker non dof related :)

The saucer effect is standard VP10 functionality.  It works great and makes building the tables much easier!

I think randr means the sw32a metal part of the kicker  dropping and raising with the ball being ejected.

Nice touch to add especially for a kicker hole so visible to the playfield.

Thanks for the table, but I do not get any solenoid feedback or sound with flippers.  I get sound and feedback from bumpers and everything else.  I checked rom.  Is this for vp 10.1?  I’ve not made the upgrade yet.

You don’t have correct rom selected in dof tool. Go to dof site and pick the table and select the other rom for it and regenerate and copy configs to your config folder and will be good
