Having some problems getting the music to work. Downloaded the “Music” folder and placed it in the VisualPinball folder but music doesn’t play. Any ideas?

Did you download the one from the link for the VP10 table, ie. are the files named bgout_(name).mp3?

Just fixed it. For some reason, not sure why, but I changed my default .mp3 player from winamp back to wmp and all works fine now. Thanks for all your help.

Thanks, lol. Good thing I do this kind of stuff “(IT Tech)” for a living. Pinball is my absolute favorite hobby. I want to build a CAB very soon, been reading up on the led-wiz controllers and DMD’s etc for the build. Any pointers to items or websites would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ebay is where I get all my stuff and just a ledwiz. If your not to handy with electrical then zebs boards may be your path. One thing I do know is hardware :)

If you’re really interested in doing stuff yourself, check this out:

You can get a board with tilt sensors, and inputs for both a plunger and buttons for ~$13; you can get a Potentiometer for ~$4. You can also do some light LEDWiz stuff with that $13 controller. Then you take MJR’s code and *poof* (after a bunch of soldering, wiring, and program trouble shooting), a pretty cheap implementation.

I’m having the same issue with no music playing. I’m on WIN 7 and have checked to make sure my .MP3 player is defaulted to WMP. Any other suggestions to get this going? I have all the speech working, just not the music MP3’s.

@PinBill, Can you send me a pic of your folder structure? Make sure all the music is unzipped in the Music folder and have .mp3 extensions.

The bgout_Ace of Spades and the other ones like this one are not files for the “AMH” table, it looks like they are part of the Whoa Nellie table that Hauntfreaks is working on. Those files should not have “bgout_” in front of them. Try moving those files temporarily to see if it fixes the problem.

Just installed VPX and started with getting America’s Most Haunted up and running. Everything went fine as described in the install instructions except for the UltraDMD part which I wanted to share.

I had trouble with the latest version of UltraDMD from the https://ultradmd.wordpress.com/download/ location. The current version (1.3.15100401) does not work with Windows 10 (at least not with me) and creates errors when running it.

I downloaded and replaced the 1.3.15100401 version with the version mentioned in the install instructions (1.1.150215) and it works!

The table with UltraDMD looks sweet!! Thanks.
