Sorry guys I may of caused a bit of the confusion inadvertently, i wrote a9jit=0
instead of, at91jit=0
Not sure what happened to my keyboard.
But yeah some of these questions get asked again and again and again. In all fairness it’s new to that person, but to guys like Thalamus who help people over and over it gets repetitive. I think a Wiki is needed then at least we can just point people to the same Wiki for common questions

October 1, 2017 at 6:02 pm #65111pin2dmd.pal files contains color information that dmddevice.dll will use if found. On a standard install that would be for eg. The walking dead with rom twd_156h ….. C:\Visual_Pinball\VPinMAME\altcolor\twd_156h and yes – inside this folder the file pin2dmd.pal There is a archive with over 400 of those ready made pin2dmd.pal files at vpu. Didn’t know sensless made a wiki post – would like to read it.
400 pal files?
is this an exaggeration in your part, the only ones I found are here
http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/category/86-pin2dmd-color-palettes/
I made a list of all the available DMD tables, I hope I go them all.
searched for all the available color settings and pal files I could find
and I was not able to find one for each table.

files marked in red are missing, dmc or pal file. if you have any that Im misting can you provide a link for them?

October 1, 2017 at 6:24 pm #65114Ups .. sorry – it is “only” 141. In my brain I had 401 for some reason. I don’t use this feature except for a handful of tables so I guess I lost track of how many there where in that archive. http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/4371-color-palettes-collection/ – seems you are up to speed on what is available.

October 1, 2017 at 7:40 pm #65119thanks, you should only be using this feature on DMD tables.
if you are running a 2 or 3 screen; tables with LED displays should be colored in the dB2s editor.

DMC – I had posted a comprehensive list at PincabPassion.net, the French site, but it would be behind a wall. Here’s the contents of my posts:
Here’s a link for all of the four color profiles that I could find by source and deduplicated:
https://mega.nz/#F!7EMllBBR!f7vDundJh-bifuWAUbqb2w
Credit –
several Pinsiders came up with the earliest profiles to support Dr. Pinball’s DMD Extender hardware for real tables
http://www.drpinball.co.uk/dotcolours.htm
Pinside links are included in the folder.open6l – designed many of the most popular profiles
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/d2x0he8q6beg2ak/7Y-J6BCxwvBigBoss – created the dmc format and hosts a big collection himself
https://www.pinballbulbs.com/files/colorprofiles/dmdprofiles.htmlPinballshawn – designed a huge number of profiles specifically for the “Compact Display” option. Check it out:
http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=33398&p=329259and there were at least a couple of Google doc or Excel spreadsheets with profiles listed. StevetheGeek and Elliott Gwynne are at least a couple of sources that I can name who started these. I wrote a little AutoHotkey script to read these files and convert each profile listing to a dmc file.

Hi, I added a new folder to my mega link, “!dmctrials” which has folders for all the tables with multiple profiles so that I can look at each one and choose the profile I like best to use in my cabinet. The quickest way to use this is SetDMD along with the VPM setup.exe install app. Use the Test button to start a table and look at the attract sequence.
PAL –Â Pretty much the entire collection is in one place in the download area for Pin2DMD at VPU. Some extra info as relayed at PincabPassion.net:
I found a set of sample palettes for the super sized Sega displays. They are linked in the first post. Again, I don’t think that freezy’s dmddevice.dll is compatible with the larger 192×64 px signals for virtual DMD, but who knows? Give it a try.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/who-needs-a-sega-192×64-replacement
One thing that I did not know but learned in the link above is that for pin2dmd users, the pin2dmd tool can also import dmc format files. So there is a use for these dmc profiles for users with real Pin2DMD displays.
Also, on pin2dmd palettes, lucky1 did some testing and came up with a palette for an ordinary orange plasma appearance. This could be used if a table does not yet have a colorized palette defined.
[edit: There is no default orange plasma palette for tables supporting >4 shades. Lucky1 himself says that he just uses the default red or blue for those tables.]
There are a few tables with multiple pin2dmd.pal files. Similar to !dmctrials folder in the mega link I posted earlier, I have organized an alttrials folder for tables with multiple palette files for the “VPinMAME/altcolor” folder. This is only to organize the files to make it easier to test and see which ones you choose to use.
https://mega.nz/#F!aYVx2AwZ!nDYnHnf-JMGoWK2Sa1UIag
There were some Gottlieb files as well, but they are not included here because Gottlieb display support does not work with the latest SAMbuild and freezy’s dmddevice.dll for virtual DMD. At this point I only use freezy’s solution for SAM and Alvin G tables.
[edit: None of this includes the full color projects that have been done using the Pin2DMD editor. Most can be found at VPU, but currently they are still awaiting support from freezy’s dmdext to be used on computer monitors/TVs.]

October 2, 2017 at 3:58 pm #65196Most of the dmc files I have came from Open6ls folder
thanks I was able to get a few more dmc files from the PincabPassion.net mega link
I found Pinballshawn post but the link to his files posted by alknowing2012 is down

Thanks PinballShawn for sending the file .. well peeps .. have a look .. add your contributions!
Unzip the file to some where temporarily..
Open up setupdmd, click Import (nothing else) then select any one of the dmc files and it will apply *ALL* the files in the folder that match your installed roms.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/90op6gzmb75bben/dmdcolors.zip?dl=0
Just keep in mind that roms must match the names in the folder exactly for them to be applied.
If you open up a .dmc file with notepad you can see the 12 numbers that make up the 4 sets of 3 RGB numbers that you can apply to a rom via right click on dmd or via setup.exe of vpinmame.dll
Thanks PinballShawn!

May 2, 2020 at 2:16 pm #177101INFO FOR PIN2DMD USERS
UpDate 5/3/2020
ColorMask Layered mode which is only supported by lucky’1 dmddevice.dll for Pin2DMD only and not by current freezy versions ! –But hopefully freezy will supported soonFreezy’s Latest Now supports color layer mode — https://ci.appveyor.com/project/freezy/dmd-extensions/history
1.8 r122 — The only file I used was the – DmdDevice.dlllucky’1 Latest DmdDevice.dll — https://github.com/lucky01/PIN2DMD/blob/master/integration/pinmame/dmddevice.dll
If you have a Pin2DMD, You can take Advantage of the color layer mode by having both dll’s in the VPinMane folder – (White Water color DMD uses Color layer mode)
By renaming freezy.dll to dmdscreen.dll and turning off pin2dmd in the dmddevice.ini.
