Odd. Make sure you deleted the proper nvram file for rom your using then start and quit game 3 times and try it. Otherwise it has to be one of your .vbs files… probably vpmkeys.vbs or…just use freeplay rom? What’s the difference between roms other then freeplay? I could try it later with non free play rom but won’t be until tonight

January 30, 2017 at 6:15 am #46734Alternative fix…
Change line 12 in the script to this…
LoadVPM “01530000”,”BALLY.VBS”,3.1

January 30, 2017 at 7:51 am #46737Thanks all for the work in figuring this out. On my next update I’ll change this.
@SteveOz, can I ask how you figured this out? When I was doing the script I couldn’t decide between using the Stern or Bally VBS and ultimately deferred to the VP9 version for this line.
Now if only those chimes would work…

Well JP gave me the big hint over @ VPF and then I remembered my pinball history on how Stern actually got into the electronic SS era by reverse engineering the Bally MPU at that time, which at a later stage they paid a settlement fee to Bally. Thus this being a very early Stern SS, the Bally.vbs was most likely the better solution.

August 29, 2017 at 12:28 am #62516As usual only have time to read the forums and maybe download while drinking the morning coffee. Looking forward to come home and play this table once again in what I expect to be a wonderful graphical improvement.
Thank you Bord and Hauntfreaks !

August 29, 2017 at 2:44 am #62519Very nice update; played now some rounds while taking some coffee´s in the morning.
If someone is wondering that DOF slingshots aren´t working and the knocker fires when the ball is released to the shooting lane:
The table is using “draculfp” freeplay rom. It´s a must to set the “default” rom in the DOF table config site to “draculfp”. If done so all will work normally
Thanks for this nice table tuning also to Brian

August 29, 2017 at 12:56 pm #62539August 29, 2017 at 3:16 pm #62545There are two issues with this version.
- using the non free play ROM (dracula) doesn’t register coin ins
- the ball looks really dark here and I’d say it belongs to the image; I now use one of those attached, both are fine to my opinion (kill me for not remebering, where I got them, but I think these were some of JP from some thread)

The ROM issue is covered in the table description. It’s a PinMAME issue, not a table problem.
Balls are certainly everyone’s preference. Thanks for showing us yours.

August 30, 2017 at 11:09 am #62620^^ thanks STAT, now I know, why my old version of Dracula worked correctly, but not the current one: I had changed the script those days to use “Stern_Dracula.vbs” according to one of the threads you posted, but had completely forgotten I did that That’s why I asked.
best solution btw for people, who prefer the non freeplay version.
