@joshmatt38 can you run other ultradmd/originals with music? I’m guessing you don’t have all .vbs files for vp in scrips folder

I’d check to make sure bass.dll is up to date and in the Visual Pinball folder.

I’m having trouble with bass.dll also. Its latest from vp 10.4 beta and unblocked. I did copy the music to the music dir under VP.

For those having issues with music, there were similar issues with Rat Fink when it was released. Reading through the posts on vpforums, two issues were noted.
- Some users had extra vbs files floating around on their machine. Make sure you have only the latest in the vbs files in the scripts folder. Make sure there aren’t any vbs files in the Visual Pinball or Tables directories (or anywhere else!)
- Your sound device for music/general ROM sounds must be set as the Default sound device in Windows10. Then, in VP audio preferences, “Primary” must be selected for music and not the sound device’s name itself. http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=35112&p=369960

Wow! That’s odd! I’m not even sure where to look table is missing half it’s objects! Redownload maybe? Or if your in exclusive full screen you may be getting error you just cannot see it. Try without exclusive full screen and see

Joshmatt38 you should re run the vp all in one installer you must have files crossed somewhere on the system it is not working. Make sure you have .vbs files up to date and in scripts folder no where else

I had such an issue YEARS ago with my ATI card. Bad GPU driver was the cause, so if whatever else you try doesn’t work, double check you have the latest driver.

@randr Looking at the screenshot I didn’t expect much of this table. I can now tell you that I do actually enjoy it a lot. The is fun elements all around. Haven’t had the time to read the rules yet so I expect it to become even better after that. It plays very nice so

Since music was mentioned earlier, I have a question. Is there a way to designate what speakers music files use. I have music, its just that they are coming out of the in-cab speakers and not the backbox. This table and Americas most Haunted have this same issue with the music files folder. Thought there might be a script adjustment.

Press f1 make sure primary sound is back glass they should come out of speaker panel look at prefix names of music files

crap.. I assume you mean f2 for the sound manager? I should have checked that first :facepalm: , I’ve had to do this with other originals. As info that works for wav files. but for mp3 files make sure primary sound device is selected in the preferences as mentioned earlier.

@micronaut thanks! I’m very surprised nobody mentioned the effects on table, like the flask filling in upper left, the mercury bath “splash” or the plasma field lighting bolt things on ramp entries. Is a neat build really. Sure it’s not a T2 but… lmao
