Mame Front End

What’s the best mame frontend for a two screen system?  I had GameEx up and running, but it’s causing me major headaches now.

I use LaunchBox… it’s pretty good, but it’s kind of moving toward a full-screen thing.  It’s worth checking out though.

Hyperspin is amazing frintend for arcade games and consoles heck anything really.

Yeah pinballx can do anything too ofcoarse now supports 4 screens :) that is your doing rusty! Good job. But I assumed he is asking for arcade cab…assumed

Probably.  That said, I’d still use PinballX… it works well and I know it backwards.  I wish my BeerKegMAME (yeah it was another drunken idea lol) wasn’t running on mac so I could use PBX there instead of whatever the hell else I am running on that???? ;)

I’d also like to know this….with 4 screen support (and hopefully more screen / window support in the future), I may also be interested in adding more to MAME screens in Pinball X. I have controls and marquee, but I would like to get some better fitting bezels,etc for a vertical screen as well as nice full screen instructions cards, etc…

 

One day I would love to do more of a PB2K style backbox with the holographic glass, and have stuff on that…

Yeah Great thread ! .. Damn it, now I really have to rebuild my 1. arcade cab and 2. pincab ..

Arcade cab for me at the moment is an old school arcade crt and arcade vga with switching between mame and jamma, in a four player for gauntlet, which is all well and good, but difficult for the newer NES N64 PS2 etc and as I’m getting older, I think I’m the only one in the house who appreciates the old screen .. sometimes I think the radiation from it is what keeps me alive .. so it’s upgrade to a smaller lighter cab design with only 2 players, and get all the other NES/N64 etc onto the backglass of my pincab I think as well .. time to start hunting up some bits !

To be fair, I don’t think I’d remember how I built the old cab it was that long ago, and hasn’t been touched since .. just played, so it’s been kinda cool..
