Super! Thanks for this great table :).

Update: Dozer, this is state of the art. The VP9 version didn’t really trigger me to play but this one is top notch and I love the lightning and the flow of the table.

Great table but here is an error right scoop catch the ball, end of the game  DMD shows malefunction right scoop or something similar.

The colorrom patch for the rom mt_145  works also for the rom 145h.

        Greetings karlson

I haven’t seen it crash with the official Stern mt_145h. Can you test with the official Stern code? We should investigate this further to see if it is something to do with the table or with the code patch.

OK, my problem is gone. I have the B2S-files in the VP9-folder and the VPX-folder. And the files in the VP9-folder are the right ones. So I delete the other ones.

And the table works fine! Great! :yahoo:

Could it be that you are not using the LE ROM? Did you change the script to use another (standard) rom?

I am using the correct mt_145h rom….when the ball goes into the right scoop during game play it stays  in there and then the following error message appears on the DMD:   “Operator Alert! Right Scooper Malfunction” and the ball never kicks out of the scoop….so cannot continue with game….

Hi Mark70…do you know if VPX supports manual ball rolling?…..I was going to see if I can manually put the ball into the scooper to see the DMD message again….it might have said right scoop device malfunction instead of right scooper malfunction……

The only thing that I can think of that would cause the scoop malfunction is if you are using the wrong version of VPinMame.dll which supports the high solenoid numbers that this game uses.  Make sure you use the version included in the archive and that you are using the latest beta of VPX with the included .vbs scripts.

The error message you are seeing is because the game knows there is a ball in the saucer but it cannot kick it out.  The saucer switch stays closed longer than it is meant to so the game will error with “Scoop malfunction – operator assist” or something similar.

Hey STAT – they have to be there as that’s their intended location but if there’s too much action there just turn the bumper force down in the editor and they’ll behave more passively.   You can just adjust the bottom two if you want but if you do all of them they’ll obviously be more uniform.   I like them active because you get bumper awards easier lol :)

Hi, as far as I know, no. But you can drop balls within the debug mode (left mouse button).

Thank you so much Bull Dozer!!……Yes, you were right! :) …I reinstalled everything and realized that I initially inadvertently put the .dll in the VP root directory instead of the VPinMAME folder so it was running under the older version……once I realized this, thanks to you!  :)….I cut and pasted into correct folder and ran the game and works like a charm!!!….and thanks to your great explanation about the added solenoids I went back into the script and uncommented the ones that were giving the SolCallback errors on the flashers….then went back into game again and was blown away by the added flashers to this table as well!!!….You made my day Bull Dozer…I cannot thank you enough!!!….This table is incredible!!!….you table authors are always raising the bar with your tables!!…WOW!!… :good:   :good:

If it possible that there is no pin2dmd support with the included vpinmame.dll? Have the same scoop error.

Yes very possible but I have no way to check as I don’t use a real DMD.   I think in this thread, the Pin2DMD guys are releasing updates that support their hardware
                                        but with DJR’s changes included.

Maybe ask in that thread and one of the dev’s can help.

This is exactly the error that using the included B2S solves.   It sounds like you are using the “released” version of B2S.

It’s hard to say for sure, but this looks like an out of memory condition.     Sometimes this can happen due to memory fragmentation, close applications and try rebooting.
