Well I don’t have any real pinball machines yet, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the artwork still! There were some 3D translites made for Medieval Madness and sold by PPS earlier this year, I Think they still have them. I got one and set to work on framing it and lighting it with a custom LED control setup. I had help from a coworker programming a Teensy 3.2 to drive 2 LED Drivers from Adafruit (24 outputs on each driver, and 40 total LEDs on my array). I’ve framed arcade marquees in the past using static lighting, but felt like pinball would need something dynamic and eye catching. It helps that my wife is a framer, problem is I have more stuff to hang up than I have walls!
