For those who are trying latest version of PUP, three pieces of advice:
1 – Don’t forget when asked for the VPX table folder, they don’t mean \visual pinball\tables which it defaults to, but rather wherever you have all your VPX tables (that for many won’t be at that default link
2 – with the last upgrade (during the beta phase) I ran into some issues all related to the fact I still had remnants of the previous version located in a different location. As per the text file, ensure other files like dmdext don’t exist elsewhere
3 – Don’t try and install something completely new like this at 1:00am, usually doesn’t go well LOL

couple of things you need to check:
do you have a trn_174h in your pupvideos folder? (if you updated pup you may have updated to different folder so you might have two pupvideo folders locations)
if yes, inside that folder do you have a pupcapture folder? if no, then you don’t have the new Tron PuP-Pack that is using the new feature.

Yes, I have both. The pupcapture folder ( there are 36 bmp files in it) is located at:

do you have a d:\visual pinball\tables\PinUpPlayer\PupVideos?
if yes, then you have ‘older pup’ files in your tables folder.. you’ll need to move the videos to the new location and remove your old pinup files manually.

same here. Old version works. I delete it.
I install the new version. Everything seems to be fine. Test is OK.
I set all screens and save them. When I start the TRON-table, I don’t see any videos only the DMD, which is captured.
And the DVD is on the playfield. I move the DVD to the backglas, change the size.
When I start the table another time, the DVD is again on the playfield. Nothing changed.
I had run the PinUpPlayerConfigDisplays.bat several times.
The videos are in the folder D:\Pinballs\Visual Pinball X\Tables\PinUpPlayer\PUPVideos\trn_174h
There is also the folder PupCapture with 36 images.

this DMD that you are moving….is it with ‘pretty dots’ (freezy dmd) or the normal B2S/Vpinmame dmd?
what was your config before the PuP install? were you using freezy dll for your DMD/Table? and was it fully working before install?
reason I ask, is PuP doesn’t do anything about location/size…etc of your DMD. That is handle by freezy dmd code.
Id guess you dont/didn’t have freezy dmd working on the table. Remember you need to press F1 on table and make sure ‘use external’ is checked and that you hide the b2s dmd.

Yes, I use freezy dll for DMD, but no real DMD. It was fully working.

I had tested the PinUp Player, but I’m to stupid for this.
I got this error, when I start Tron.
How can I disable this error, what can I delete?

Having the same issues as Joey. Everything looks like it supposed to. Just no PUP videos at all.

I install the pup installer and got noch extra screen or video and than I deleted the pup… and then I got this error

Took me some config to ensure dmdext was working with my pin2dmd :0). After that the new 1.2 player installed without any issues and both Avatar and Tron as demonstrating the power of the new player. It’s great!
After I quit a table the backglass stays active until I completely close VPX. It this expected behavior or should it close after you quit the table and return to the editor?

I did a complete re-install op VPX 10.4 (renamed the old VP folder) and setup PinUP Player 1.2. So there can be no leftovers of an old PinUP install.
I still do not get any videos, but the PUPLOG.txt file is different now:

look like you’re almost good to go. You just need to check that your b2s PuP-Plugin is ‘active’. if you right click on a b2s backglass and go to plugins are they active with no errors?

that log looks like PuP wasn’t even installed? strange….
do you have a /pinupplayer folder within tables folder? you can right-click and run pupinstall batch file. or try re-installed PuP (dbl-check your folder paths)
