A not-so-subtle repurposing of Eight Ball Deluxe. New rules, modified plastics and playfield. It’s always interesting to see how new rules can effect a classic layout.

It is a novelty anyway. EBD is one of the all time greats so it is strange to play a variation on it. It’s like watching the original Star Wars with dubbed voices.

I made a new wheel and DT image

one thing,  this is a 6 digit 7-segment alpha numeric table not 7 digit,  the built in DT display is way off.

I made multiple templates if you like to update the table with the correct one

DT backlass LED examples

you literally copy and past code and lights into your table.

Bord, you make some of the best looking tables, thank you for this one. Taito on the other hand managed to make some of the worst sounds to come out of a pinball machine..lol. Is DOF working for you guys?

For those with sound problems:

Try out two versions of the ROM and report back to me.

I’ve seen a bad ROM pop up here and there and cause sound issues with certain games. I’ve had no problems on my version but can’t remember where I pulled the ROM from.

Thanks bord and Haunt, “perfect” as always, but small Things to do on directb2s:
upper ID’s from left to right are 149, 150, 151 and 152,
Player ID’s are 139, 140, 141 and 142.
Looks like they are always the same on Taito Backglasses.

I don’t know, rob you talking about the (not always) short Buzz Sound only at the Begining, just a half Sec. ?
I also have that, but as i said, not always … sounds like a “normal” ROM Loading for me.

Thanks, STAT. I have that, too. It is just an init sound. Nothing unusual.

Taito’s don’t reset the same way as other emulated ROMs, so leaving the table mid-game will bring you back to that point the next time you restart the table. I don’t think you hear the buzz when starting the table mid-game. I’m at work so I can’t test, just going by memory.
