After falling in love with the chime unit I needed to upgrade my repoped Chinese bell to an original 5” Williams bell. It’s heavy and not made from recycled Chinese car parts. Sounds ok too.

Yah…i was playing a real FIRE! pinball table at an arcade last night….that bell scared the crap out of me! Very cool table…and they fitted it with all new leds…tastefully done.
Have you done any led upgrades to your pins randr? They are really so much nicer when done right….and not a rainbow fest.

Yes here is fire! With authentic look leds installed cost nearly 300-400 bucks a pin but I upgraded all mine(16) to leds. Took me nearly a year to do as I shopped each one at the same time

So you will never ever go back to incandescents? :)
Some guys are purists….but with new white lighting for leds…the backglasses have colour…REAL colour! We never EVER got to see those colours in the backglass back in the 80s!
Yah, the arcade i went to also has ALL led as well. Looking at old pics and footage of arcade pins… there is no going back….can’t stand how those old lamps look now. :) This guy is the only distributor of leds from CometPinball here in Canada.

Pics aren’t too great….and they don’t do it justice…but here’s the pins I was playing….most tables have normal LED lighting…but some like Elvira, Meteor, Comet and Fire has Colour mods done.

I know that can be a crazy amount of work…to get some of the ramps, plastics,etc off to replace those lamps…
The end result is worth it though…beautiful stuff!

Well I was not 100% happy with the 5” steel bell so I got a 5” brass bell wow what a difference! Sounds perfect. I was playing fire and the wife thought I was playing the real one instead of digital so that’s a good result.
“Video” of the sound the 5” brass bell makes I think I can still hear it 30 min later

Well I was not 100% happy with the 5” steel bell so I got a 5” brass bell wow what a difference! Sounds perfect.
