  • First and foremost. This is just a mod of ICPJuggla' re-creation of BSD.  I absolutely love that game, but, since it was created, VP has evolved and that is why I release this mod.

I orignally started modifying this table privately a long time ago. My main goal was to change its physics to play closer to a machine in Oslo, it was a bit worn, and I wanted to try to get that feeling. In the end though. It has become more or less a blueprint copy of another release. It just plays so much better than what I've been able to create.

This table originally came from FP, by Francisco666 and Rom.  It was converted to VP by ICPJuggla and he had some helpers in great names like Tom Tower, Zany, Ninuzzu, Bodydump and Ezepov.

I haven't worked with any of these, but, instead stolen shamelessly from the following guys especially.

DjRobX Modulated flashers, and of course thank you for all the magic you do elsewhere.

Rothbauwerw Hell, most of the stuff that makes me want to release it.

nFozzy Hope you are doing well, we miss you and your expertise.

Dark Haven't stolen prims for this table itself, but, tips in forums and PMs for sure.

Fleep Great collection of sound samples, stolen a few.

Flupper Totally ripped you code for LUT, and other stuff in forums.

Kiwi Rolling code and great information in forums.

Schreibi34 Your prerendered insert images came in handy.

JPSalas Don't think I used your expertise on this release, but, I've learned a lot from you.

Bord Haven't done any 3D in this, but, without you sharing your knowledge, I would not have understood a few of the tasks needed.

ICPJuggla For making this great table in the first place.

Randr What can I say. Without you, there would be no vpinball.com site, my #1 VP site.

I hope I didn't leave anyone out, but, I fear I might. There are so many great guys in our community, it is hard to keep track of you all, especially since I'm that kind of guy that fixes one thing, then leave it for a long time and then change something else.

BSD is a game where stacking of the multi-balls is very important in order to get to those really high scores. Many of you have probably seen this video before, but, I want to share this video for anyone that missed probably the most exciting IFPA World Championship finals ever.

    https://youtu.be/tUE_HaR2rBc?t=11362

I urge you guys to try to hold back on activating those multiballs until they are ready. And remember, if all goes to ... you will on the last ball most probably have Mist mb lit. Also, during rats and bats, play fast paced as switches completes those modes and yeah, bumpers are great for that.

I've included a altcolor that I prefer to use, and also a nvram with reset HSD.

This release will play differently from the original, so a reset seems to me to be the best way to go about it. I personally recommend that you go into the rom and set video mode to a harder level.

I hightly recommend Wildman' db2s for this

    IPDB : https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?gid=3072

Oh and. This table is NOT TO BE MODIFIED AND POSTED on other sites than VPinball ! This is a request of the original author.

Included altcolor, if you don't have a altcolor folder inside your vpinmame folder. Create it and put the drac_l1 folder in it.

If you want to reset the high scores for you previous BSD. Overwrite drac_l1 with the one provided in your nvram folder, you should find that inside vpinmame as well.

    1.0 : Initial release

1.01 : Fixed the right slingshot, a couple of screws on bumpers. Added option to turn off the sling decals, unfortunately Marco Specialities sent me the wrong replacements screws if you pick that option ;) Hope I didn't mess something up again.

    1.1 :

    - modified sling, scatter angles and rubber settings by @kds70. - stole more stuff, ball shadow from Kiwi, you might have to tune them depending on your LUT preferences. - all new playfield from @LOstSOul. - yellow flippers from @LOstSOul (script option). - defaults now to slings without decoration (script option) - finally fixed the slings. I hope :) - tried to fix the mist multiball. I know some have never had isses. I think it is a timer issue, seeing two different things depending on how powerful of machine it is run on. Hope I didn't mess it up for those that it was working for. If it does - let me know. - fixed some sounds I had planned to implement. - provided the original pf image, if you want to swap back. Open table manually. Go to table -> image manager in the menu, scroll down to dracula_new_pf, now press the "Reimport from" button. Now pick the attached playfield image.

A special thanks to robertms, @vogliadicane, the vp devs and Dozer. All of which I forgot to mention in the original release.

Nice! Have become interested in that table lately, like to see your physics set and how that plays. Thanks for sharing!

Don’t know how much of this physics I can take credit for anymore to be honest. Only yesterday this played quite different, much harder, but I had already promised myself to try Roth’s settings and when I did, I could not really go back. Also, now, time has passed and I don’t really any longer remember how that Oslo machine played. I hope I get the chance to play it soon. Getting so fed up with this pandemic. I want to play some real machines now.

Hey, it’s released! I know this has gotten revisions for the better part of a year if not more. A good example of how to add a ton of value before releasing something as a mod. Thanks, @thalamus!

Thanks Thalamus. BSD is a superb game and Mist multiball is still one of the better “gimmicks” in pinball.  Looking forward to trying this later today.

Table is a welcomed addition to my Vpin cab thanks to you and everyone that assisted with all other aspects one way or the other.
