VR version of the incredible Indiana Jones The Pinball Adventure by ninuzzu and tom tower. This is the first Wide Body custom VR Room table and boy this is awesome! Finally I can enjoy the great work ninuzzu and tom tower did on this table and the widebody really makes this table! Took me quite some time to get the wide body scaling right but I think it turned out really nice. I included the 1985 Indiana Jones Arcade cabinet to make this a complete experience :). Rob tried to get it a bit closer to the real thing based off videos.  (Mech movement and timing) - Integrated Thalamus' / Carny's SSF sound updates. -Added new light to boiler room. 1.0 -New 3D plastic ramp + 3D pre-rendered texture. -Mostly new Wire ramp (I kept some parts of the old one). -Re-worked lighting for Freddy + re-worked materials for Freddy. -VP ramps adjusted a bit to closer match photos I had, also wire ramp friction increased a bit to slow travel time to a more realistic speed. -New ball image/lighting -adjusted POV to match new plastic ramp texture -adjusted Freddy 'Glove hand' slightly. Most photos of the table I have feature a golden-like Wire ramps, though personally I prefer the standard chrome/silver, so I leave the option to you. Note that this version/mod was made for cabinet users, so I haven't even tried DT version.  I found that I could get a higher level of lighting/detail on Freddy using a metal material, so he might look weird from a DT perspective - if he does just un-check metal in his material - I think it should be okay though.  Lighting and pre-rendered texture on plastic ramp will not be optimized for DT perspective - sorry. This is pretty much just a visual update,  I thought this table was fairly well done but could benefit from my own personal touch.  It pretty much just started with me adjusting stuff for Freddy to try to get him to look a bit closer to how I had imagined him on the table and I had no plans of modding the table for release.  However as I started to get more involved I thought with this much work involved I might as well share this mod. Press 8 to enter test mode. 3. Press 7 and then press 8 to see 01 in the credit display. 4. Continue to press 8 until you see 04 in the credit display and 30 in the match/ball in play display. 5. Press and hold the 1 key to select the number of balls you want. The value will increment by 1 while you are holding in the 1 key. When you reach the number of balls you want to set it to, release the 1 key. (NOTE: If you want to lower the value, or if you pass the value you wanted, release the 1 key, press and release the 7 key and then press and hold the 1 key. The value will then decrement by 1). 6. Here you have Genie, a widebody by Gottlieb from 1979. The playfield is packed, the art package is gorgeous, the gameplay is challenging. Genie is a collaboration with rothbauerw, who put his skills into the script, DOF, physics, VR, FSS, etc. (all the cool stuff). There are some options at the top of the script: You can switch between liberal and conservative operator post positions (default conservative). Liberal settings requires a playfield image swap which is included in the vpx image manager. An option to use DOF chimes (default is off). An option for VR view (default is off). This is a VPX recreation of a 1964 Midway Flying Turns pinball machine. Several options you can turn on in the script.Line 8 - netplayenabled = true. This enables peer to peer network play via vpPlus (explained later in this discrption).False = offLine 14 - handsenabled = true. This enables virtual hands to use the controls. False = offLine 20 - musictalkenabled = true. This enables my choice of music from the 1964 era to be played. In game you can turn on/off with the "f" key. Also enables me getting angry when the ball play is short. False = off always. There is a B2S backglass included and a wheel art logo in the table zip file. Cab people, you know what to do with B2S and Wheel art. VPPLUS!!!Peer to peer 2 player games over the internet!!!If you want to give this a try, get the vpPlus plugin installer here.https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=3057 Let me just say this, vpPlus can be pretty touchy to install and use and what I type in this discription is all the support you will get from me. This is not to say that it is not awesome or the most fun way to play this table, because its a freaking blast when you get it working. So lets start with the installing. INSTALLING VPPLUS: To install, extract the vpPlus zip file some where. Now RIGHT CLICK Setup.exe and run as ADMINISTRATOR. After that just follow the install. Its important that the program gets installed as ADMINISTRATOR to register the com object with Windows. The other thing that is very important is that VPX is also run as ADMINISTRATOR. The ideal way to play this vpPlus table is to establish a voice over ip chat through like Discord or TeamSpeak or someother voice activated voice chat. So you can talk to the person you are playing against. I use Discord. Make this audio connection first before running the table. If you are hosting the table, share with the other person your IP address to connect to (your external IP address. If you don't know what it is you can get it by going to this site. https://whatismyipaddress.com/ VERY IMPORTANT!!! THE ONLY WAY TO LAUNCH THE TABLE IS TO DOUBLE CLICK THE .VPX TABLE FILE. YOU CAN NOT OPEN VPX EDITOR FIRST OR LAUNCH THE TABLE THROUGH PINBALLX. I'm not sure why, but if you load the table any other way you will get Socket# 0 errors and the table won't launch. Once the table is launched by double clicking the table file it will open and run the table. Two coins will be automatically dropped and two start buttons will automatically be pressed too. Also after you play a full game, and both of you decide to play another game, the 5 key will drop two coins and press the start button twice automatically to start the next match.  Anyway, once you start the table successfully the connection dialog box will appear shortly after the coins and the start buttons are pressed. THE HOST: This is the person that is willing to share his IP address and open two ports through his firewall and/or router. By default vpPlus uses ports 12345 and 12346 for its communication. You can set different ports if you choose on the dialog box when you host, but they need to be open through your firewall and/or router. THE CONNECTING MACHINE: When the hosting person says he is hosting, then the joining person picks the option to join and types the hosting persons IP address and click OK.Leave the Disable UPnP checkbox checked. Now if you did everything right and don't get a Socket# 0 error, then you will get a dialog box to enter your name. After both of you have entered your names and click OK, the game will start. The hosting person is player 1 and starts the game. After his ball drains, the visiting player gets control and can play their ball. ONE OTHER IMPORTANT THING!!! ONCE YOU GET CONNECTED AND ARE PLAYING, DON'T PAUSE THE GAME OR CLICK ON ANOTHER WINDOW. In other words don't lose focus on VPX or the connection will crash. You probably will have a crash when one of you decide to leave. Again I need to stress that vpPlus is AS IS and I will not support it, so don't PM me. If you can't figure it out from this point then just disable it at line 8 in the script and play flying turns like any other table. You can even launch it with pinballx if you don't use vpPlus. But if you can get a good stable connection with someone and you can talk to them via Discord, its a real blast. These directions will be included in the zip file too. I hope some of you try out the P2P netplay, its a lot of fun.-Rascal   Read More

This is an update to francisco666's and 32Assassin's excellent VPX port of Twister.   Thanks go to him for his table, and the permission to mod it. I've made many functional fixes, physics tweaks, and visual updates.    I've used the NFozzy/Rothbauerw physics tutorial to set the physics, I think it plays much better now.   There should be less stuck balls, and the all important twister multiball sequence is fixed. I also ran the transparent ramp through some of Flupper's ramp tutorial process to texture it.    I'm no expert in blender but I think it's an improvement.    I also used some filters on the DOROTHY primitive so it looks more round. This ended up being a complete rebuild of Rascal's conversion. Special thanks to BorgDog for being the main mentor and SME on this build.  Couldn't have done it without you!  It all started with a fresh playfield image to work off of.  All credit and thanks to OCD_pinball from pinside for the playfield pictures which made this build all the easier to get as accurate as possible.  Thanks to Bord for his work on the graphics and  expert advice.  All the primitives were replaced and countless hours of detail and testing to make it play as accurate as possible. Thanks to Wildman for all of his amazing backglasses he creates and for the artwork and resources he made from his original table creation!  The plastic scans from his actual table were cleaned and added by Bord which makes the table pop! Parents: Rated PG for mild language ————————————————————— v1.0b Beta test ————————————————————— The table is a MOD based on JP’s Taito Space Shuttle. Thanks to JP Salas for permission to do this. FS Cab table (Desktop works, however I need  to adjust some lighting to look better in Desktop) INSTALLATION: STEP 1: Ensure Pinup system is working properly prior to installation Requires the ‘sshuttle’ ROM in order to run Requires VPX 10.6+ PUP Pack: Add the [TopGun] folder to PUP videos The ‘sshuttle’ folder in PUP videos must be empty Turn your volume down a touch before running (some might consider this loud…it’s fine for me) STEP 2: Nb. Due to the ‘continue’ power failure feature of TAITO roms, there’s a known bug that can cause havoc with gameplay. Before running first time and to be safe, reset the game ROM (you should only need to do this once, unless you’re having problems) Load game press ‘Home’ key once press ‘7’ key once press ‘F3’ twice TopGun_DMD.png drag this to ‘DMD’ in pinup popper setup / Media Manager (not required for game to run, but looks good) So long as you don’t have a TAITO space shuttle PUP pack installed (none currently exist), the table should work fine. To avoid potential Space Shuttle conflicts with scores, backglass etc. I suggest you run the Williams Space Shuttle which is basically the same table, except using a different ROM (sshuttle_l7) - eg. Bord’s Space Shuttle MUSIC VOLUME: Under Player Options in the script, raise or lower the value (100 is maximum volume), compile when done and save table. soundtrackvol = 80 ————————————————————— GAMEPLAY Notes: T O P G U N bonus is achieved by lighting the words Top Gun only. Hitting the centre drop target will light the ‘Star’ which kills the possibility of getting the bonus. Another level of difficulty. Locked balls - other players can steel all your hard work and unlock your multi-ball in turn. If you don’t see a favourite quote it’s probably because you haven’t hit the acquired bonus, ramp or combo. Some of these are activated randomly, whereas ‘more special’ scenes are locked in for difficult bonuses. KNOWN BUGS: This is in beta, so there are bugs: Turning music down for PUP activations is timed to 9 seconds. If anyone knows of a way to check video lengths in realtime to update volume dimming dynamically please let me know more than 1 player may kill the music (mainly p3, p4) topgun bonus when lit for extended periods (although highly unlikely) will lower music volume for 9 seconds some erroneous PUP activation bugs with Ball lock and MultiBall ————————————————————— Table NOTES: I’ve changed the game slightly (or a lot depending on your viewpoint) from the shuttle original, mainly the right ramp addition, to speed up game play, table angle and bumper speeds to make gameplay more dynamic in keeping with the Top Gun theme. The game is intentionally quicker as it’s a 5 ball credit. Fast drains are common. I chose the original table (1984) because the style fits the time frame of the movie (within a couple of years). The lighting overkill and some of my sound effects are intentional to work with the whole Hollywood theme, also makes the playfield more dynamic in keeping with the movie. I did think of modding the F14 table originally, however that’s already a great fighter jet themed table so I didn’t want to mess with it. Another crazy not pinball creation by Rascal. VPX Foosball 2019 is just that, a foosball game. It does auto row switching for you so you just need to control one row. You can control it with several different controllers (Keyboard, Mouse, Joystick X and Y axis, Joystick X and Y Rotation, Joystick POV, or on a cab with left flipper, left magna-save, right flipper, and right magna-save). You can play against another player with sharing a keyboard (w, a, s, z for red team and arrow keys for blue team). You can also play red team joystick and blue team mouse. Then there is the red team set to AI which is insane, but crazy fun. See if your good enough to beat the AI. All these option choices are in the script at the top. If for any reason the ball gets in a dead state, you can hit "k" on the keyboard or do a forward nudge on a cab to give the ball a little kick. Included in the download is the table, a b2s, a logo art, and the vpmousejoystick com plugin to get the mouse and joystick functions into VPX. Since there is no rom, and no real ruleset beyond what is on the instruction cards, I went with rules and scoring that made sense. Personal note: it is plainly obvious the person that designed this for the movie had no idea how to make a real pinball with the way the drop targets are set, the kicker in the top of the playfield, the rubber for when you launch the ball at the top of the arch, the upper flippers and the spinner on the right that the right upper flipper pretty much always shoots into.   Read More
