  • Plain and simple backglass for 3 screen setup. No animation, grill or DMD.

Just extract in your Tables directory and make sure the filename matches the tablename.

    IMPORTANT NOTE:

In order to get the backglass up and running you need to change the V1.0 table script.

At the start of the script include:

    ExecuteGlobal GetTextFile("controller.vbs")

At Sub Table1_Init() section include as first line:

    LoadEM

    Enjoy :)!

    Initial version.

      Hello,
The instructions to bring the backglass up seem straightforward enough and I thought I did as instructed but have been unable to get it to display. I’ve matched the backglass and table files name like always and added the changes to the script as instructed. I suspect that I dont have those changes made correctly. Could I ask someone to give me a bit more detail where to install those changes in the script?
Maybe there is something else that I’m missing?
      Thank you

Just insert at line 10 (new line):

      ExecuteGlobal GetTextFile(“controller.vbs”)

And insert at line 84 (new line):

      LoadEM

      Should work…

Make sure controller.vbs is in your ..\Visual Pinball\Scripts directory.

If you still have trouble PM me and I will send you the modified version.

Really helped to get the additional detail from you….I’m sure it will help others as well.
Thanks again for taking the time to spell it out for me.

Open table – open script – delete everything. Replace them with a copy / paste from this link :

What version of VP are you running ? You need 10.4 or newer since that script has the “new” ( now quite old ) 9th parameter to playsound enabled. If you are on a newer version than 10.4, it sound like you have either a old controller.vbs and/or a old version of core.vbs inside the tables folder.

I should add though. It is important that you apply the script to the table with the same version. 1.2.1 in this case. Lets say you have 1.2.0 and some object didn’t exist but referred in the code, it would could crash. These errors though, does not indicate that.

Please note that when you update to 10.4. VP has surround sound capabilities. So, if you have a sound card with surround capabilities ( most has nowadays ) I advice people to try it out. I have a old desktop computer with some old Logitech speakers. I sub and back and front pairs. You should be able to hear approximately where the ball are and what it hits.

It is probably related to screenres.txt no being correct.

Yes. The screenres.txt file defines both playfield and backglass positions.

Here is more or less a random hit searching for screenres.txt @ vpf. It has been explained over and over again.

https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=33272&p=346276 – Just search vpf for screenres.txt if that link is confusing.

It should be in the same folder as your tables. if you have several, copy it to the other folders or create shotcuts ( advanced alternative )
