This is a VPX conversion of mfuegemann's 1988 Gottlieb Premier Excalibur table. Big thanks to mfuegemann for his work.

    Additional thanks to:

' Maralb, Whysnow, Gaspumprob and Akiles for providing loads of images for the playfield and plastics ' Kodiac for the flipper primitive routine ' Fuzzel for providing the images for the playfield lights ' JPSalas for the Flasher fading code ' Inkochnito for the DIP switch code ' Arngrim for the DOF and SoundFX code

This table is really fun to play. Feel free to fix it up or modify it.

It needs the rom named "excalibr.zip". Hopefully you have a friend who has it, because the Gottlieb roms were pulled from all of the VP sites. Quietly ask your friend.

    1. Place the table (.vpx) file in your tables folder.

    2. Place the rom file in your roms folder.

1.1 - Fixed line 76 error with knocker. Had a period instead of a comma.

    1.2 - Changed from 16:10 to 16:9 resolution.

FYI – Getting a script error on startup…

Line 1: Object required ‘[string: “Knocker”]’

      I’m running 10.6.0 rev 3541

On a cab with DOF feedback?

Nope. No DOF. I just commented out script line 76 to get around it.

Ok I should never code while sleepy. :)

      Line 76 should be:

      SolCallback(8) = “vpmSolSound SoundFX(“”Knocker””,DOFKnocker),” ‘Sol8

I had a period instead of a comma before DOFKnocker.

      Sorry.

I have some graphical issues on the four flippers, because of the prims.

I move them away and it’s OK, but maybe there is a better solution?

Without looking at the table it sounds like you need to adjust the primitives sizes.

Yes could use new flippers. In vp9 the image for that primitive was set on a black background which in vp9 you could set as the transparent color. I had to photoshop the image and delete the black background and save it as a png. I don’t see any black left on the image when I zoom in, but it shows up in vpx like that. They should be replaced with a nicer primitive anyway. When converting these, I am just removing the selected vp9 transparent color on things like round targets and in this case the flippers and saving them in a transparent png format and reimporting them. If someone has a primitive for this year Premier table please share it and I will change them out. Or you can mod and release it. I’m on to the next rough conversion.  :good:

Alternate desktop background, if anyone wants it. It’s based on the backglass art.

      @rascal

Just enjoying playing the table some more, and noticed that the slingshots are not working.

Tried turning on hit events but beyond me!

      Thanks

Very cool table. Only my analog plunger isn’t working.

Is that sometcode I can add to the script ?

Plunger is something you can enable yourself. Cntr+Shift+E, scroll down to plunger. Make sure options is enabled on the push button on the left. Now for the plunger properties tick that enable analog plunger or what it now is called – and your done. Remember to save :)
