June 28, 2016 at 8:45 pm #32595This table and conversion is pretty awesome I think, and its even more awesome with julien42’a updated metal sound pak. Pinsound is definitely worth a try. Thanks again Fren, really enjoying this table :)
Here is the youtube video of TFTC with the updated sounds

June 28, 2016 at 10:23 pm #32599This is the PinSound site I got the files from :)
http://pinsound-community.org/forum/
Just unzip the sounds file and keep the folder structure ..then you create a folder under Pinmame called altsound and in that folder you will create another folder the name of the rom of the table you are using the sounds for. So for TFTC you would create a folder called tftc_303, and finally inside that folder is where you put the contents of the downloaded music files.
When all the files are in place you need to go to your Pinmame folder and click Test ..look for the rom you just made a folder for (tftc_303) then just highlight the rom name and click Game Options .. inside the option screen make sure the Sound Mode is set to 1 and it will use the alternate sounds .. just change to 0 to use the default sounds. Hope this helps.

June 28, 2016 at 10:39 pm #32604When I set Sound Mode to 1 and then restart pinMAME and click on Game Options for that ROM again the 1 is gone. Is that expected behavior?

June 28, 2016 at 10:54 pm #32606Mine will stay the same if I go back and test the rom again .. it should stay on 1
This is the updated vpinmame.dll that I have installed on mine ..not sure why it won’t save on yours though
https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/visual-pinmame-2-7-standalone-dll-pindmd3-2-7/#changelog
I am guessing that the dll is not the problem since you have the option for Sound Mode but not sure what else to try
Sorry I can’t help more

June 28, 2016 at 10:56 pm #32607you’re the man…. followed your instructions … and bam it works
I think you should do a dedicated thread for this… with your instructions… just make sure to tell people to take the files out of the main folder that’s in the zip
thank you again Sir!!

June 28, 2016 at 10:59 pm #32608Hmmm… not sure what is going on with my setup… can’t get a value to stay in the Sound Mode input box. Well… I reinstalled and unblocked my DLL’s and now I can get that value to save… but now I’ve lost all my Stern games… off to find a different version of dll, is that version no hosted here too?

Nope, you need to update to v2.7 and run setup.exe and click the “Install” button.

June 28, 2016 at 11:42 pm #32611ok, so i just set it up on my cab , its very cool… I did found an expedited way to set the sound mod to 1 by just right clicking the dmd and hitting game setting from there… I’m also running 2.7 final

What if the DMD is integrated into the translite like Dr Dude…. is there a fast way to do that?

June 30, 2016 at 3:28 pm #32709If you press F1 you should be able to get to the same VPM options, for games like Dr. Dude with SMDs

I dunno?? You’re the one telling the story. ;) lol
Thanks. I will check it out. It’s handy being able to switch back and forth easily while still under PBX.
EDIT: It was F1 Thanks again for the tips.

March 15, 2017 at 8:45 pm #50671Awesome table, but having extreme slowdown/stuttering when the ball is traveling the ramps. Very weird.

March 16, 2017 at 10:16 am #50704The ramps are primitives on this table (3d objects) so they have a lot of collision points. It’s not the right way to build it, but it’s the quickest way… I believe I already reduced the collidable mesh so I’m not sure there’s much that can be done to improve it for you :(
Punch it!

March 18, 2017 at 9:24 pm #50833Is anyone else having a hard time trying to hit that left ramp? I hit it will what I think is full strength right flipper and the ball only goes up about half way. Is increasing the flipper strength the fix? Or is there a sweet spot that I haven’t found yet?
Great job on this table by the way.
