I coded this up closing in on a year ago for a project but that project fell through. The team I worked with decided to allow it to come to the public, So here we are.

    • pinup required
    • DOF to come

Something strange happens also if you lock the ball behind the drop targets – before they are able to reset for the next round. Or at least that is what it looked like for me.

If you’re in multi and you hit a ball to fly into the kicker at the same time the other ball drains you can essentially get a free lock without having to hit the targets. It will give you another ball just like standard lock.

If you are able to hit it in the weird time inbetween them going up so you wedge between then it’ll try to drop them out if that doesn’t work it’ll give you another ball. This is a standard occurrence with game with standup targets like Paragon. Except on paragon your game is over. Here I just give you a fresh ball.

I must admit, I don’t remember the exact event. But, what you describe did not happen. It ended up with the ball being in the lock and there where no ball search. Maybe I didn’t wait long enough for it to start ? Haven’t really studied the script.

My family loves this table, so we often play in multiplayer mode. I’ve observed that sometimes strange things happen after a change of player. It used to be, for example, that another player started with multiball (although he shouldn’t), then turned on the “ball search” mode as if the game was lost in the release of balls. Another time the next player had a left key, although he didn’t do it before (as if he inherited the key from the previous player?). It is possible that not all settings per player reset and the next player inherits the result of the previous player.

You can steal locks from other players. This is intentionally designed in an old school table lock format similar to tables like pinbot or space station etc. Locks are not player specific. If ball search came on then it did think there should eb another ball out there and will help you continue your game by adding one. Obviously we don’t want a ball search but balls get lost in pinball from time to time.

I didn’t think that such behavior could be intentional, but in fact, in real pinball it would probably be hard to realize such behavior that the blocked ball disappears on the next player and magically reappears again on the first player :) When breaking records I won’t convince my son that it’s fair to inherit the blocked ball from him, so we stopped playing in multiplayer mode – we play one by one :)
Whatever the case – the tablet is great and it is currently #1 here – thanks again!

The problem is in the dof config in the configtool, there miss the respective E** element that needs a Yellow 400 8 effect, i don’t know which DOF 1** the table script it is linked to

Thanks for playing and yeah go play some older tables like pinbot and such as multiplayer and see how a “table lock” works. I find it a real fun way to play in head to head as there is strategy to it. Even in newer tables like World Cup ’94 you can steal locks. It’s quite common with table locks as opposed to virtual locks.
Also of note on my harry potter one of the locks is a table lock as well so i mix both styles. So yeah it’s a thing. =)

Hello! This is a cool table. I put all the files in the right place, but it doesn’t appear the ultradmd files are working. Upon closing the table to see what was going on the PUP screen froze and the music is still playing.

Hello everyone! I am a newbie.
I really like this table, especially the music is great.
But I got this problem when I started it.
Looks like there is less b2s? But I can’t find the relevant place to download
I don’t know if I can provide a load point?
      thank!

Thank you! After canceling, it becomes no music and the reading table becomes more than 1 minute.
I don’t know if I am doing something wrong?
I have 3 screens, the main screen is 4K

Got table itself working fine.  Nothing in the backglass area beside score.  Have pup folder named leprechaun in “leprechaun” pupvideo folder.  Ultradmd folder called leprechaun.UltraDMD in same directory as table like other ultradmd tables.  I changed the table name.  Would that do anything harmful?  I thought all calls come from the script.

Changing table name wasn’t the issue.

      Hey all,

I also love the table, but I have a problem.

Before someone asks: All other tables (also some with puppacks work fine!)

The Leprechaun King is my only table where I get stutter sometimes, even if there is nothing special going on at the playfield(Strobe, Flashing, Multiball or so…)

      Someone has an idea?

      Regards, Skullmonkey

I think it’s one of the rare tables that on my 4K system, I had to turn off playfield reflections.  Give that a try

Interesting. As soon as I enabled UltraDMD, the Pup vids stopped freezing upon exiting. Thank you.
