  • This is a loader for VPinballX_GL.EXE. With the included vpx-vrlauncher.exe and vpx-vrlauncher.vpx it's now possible to switch tables with plunger and flipper keys. Now you can stay at your cabinet playing and switching tables without the need of VR-controls. If you exit a table, the table-selection will be shown again.

Best results (fast loading speeds, many capturing improvements) with the newest vpvr 10.6 beta of Rob Ross and Ronnie Viklund! You can find it at vpforums and at our VR Facebook group.

Need more tables? Easy: Since version 2.4 you can activate the autoupdate feature and you will get the artwork of all new releases automatically.

Used cabinet-keys version 2 (configurable in launcher):

    • left flip: previous table
    • righ flip: next table
    • plunger: start selected table
    • left magnasave: previous column
    • right magnasave: next column

If you want the default keys (magnasave, flipperkeys and plunger) leave this at "default" or "reverse" (without quotes). If you want to setup your own decimal key codes you can get them from vpx registry or with my debugkeys option. You can also use vpx key constants like "LeftFlipperKey", "PlungerKey" or "RightMagnaSave".

Thanks to senseless, arvid and rawd for their support! Thanks to the community for making vpx a great VR experience! If you want to use parts of my code - use them without approval. :)

Download @ the new home of vr-launcher:

    http://rb.gy/jhzdwf

Note: Some antivirus programs have recently started displaying virus warnings because they no longer like compiled autohotkey scripts. This is what i've used.

Extract the files of the zip with the included directory structure in your Visual Pinball directory.

    1. Start vpx-vrlauncher.exe
    2. Enter your VR-tables folder in the application. Click "set tablepath".
    3. Restart vpx-vrlauncher.

From now on you only need to start vpx-vrlauncher.exe.

In the subdir /vrlauncher is an exe (courgette infos:https://www.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/software-updates-courgette) for including the downloaded patches to the vrlauncher.vpx.

These are the files you need next to your vpinballx_gl.exe:

    • vpx-vrlauncher.exe
    • /vrlauncher/courgette64.exe
    • /vrlauncher/versions.txt
    • /vrlauncher/vpx-vrlauncher.vpx

If you want autoupdate working you should NOT touch these files.

Only the original vpx-vrlauncher.vpx can be patches bitwise. Of course you still can manipulate this vpx, but without my updates.

Info: Sub-Minor-Updates (new tables added via autoupdate)

I’m having issues getting this to run! Running as admin in my VP folder root as the instructions ask but I keep getting the error below:

      vpx-vrlauncher_66HCMu4ooH

Unfortunate because this looks amazing and I’d love to get it working!

It looks like you don’t have the “VPinballX_GL.exe” in the same directory.

Swapped the file name on the 64 bit version to that and it’s loading fine now, thank you! Still having an issue where it’s not seeing a table (T2) I’ve tested in my library. The tables exist with roms and are running fine in VPinballX otherwise. Looks like it exists in the array as well.

EDIT: Added Terminator to the positive keywords in the array and it got picked up. How would I go about adding art to the small model for the game? It’s missing the playfield.

      Thanks for the continued upgrades!

Have you considered modifying the view without the Jukebox and only the spinning pin? To make the whole back wall the border for the back glass icons? Allowing them to be viewed more clearly when you have allot of tables loaded in your VRVP directory. If it’s not to much additional work..

Now i got your wish. You mean the view without the cabinet. Good idea! I’ll change it in 2.0.

why would you put the vpx file in the Visual Pinball directory?  Don’t you think it should go into the Tables directory?  Thanks working with this today for the first time.  Having some issues but I’m sure I will figure it out.   Thanks

OK, got further, but why would you store the tables in the VPX script?  Don’t you think it would be better to use PinballX style xml files?  Do you want me to modify the script to do that?  I might make my DBMS output your format, not sure which will be quicker :)

      Thanks
