Yeah I have the latest pinup files. It was running for days without problem until I added a bunch more tables to my collection :D
Def. don’t have the system sleeping at all. I almost wonder now if there is some video or combination of videos that lead to some kind of VLC memory leak that over time crashes VLC. PuP can be in attract mode for a few to quite a few hours before crashing. I did an experiment with the time it stays on a table for attract mode (doubled it to I think 90 seconds). It then ran almost 24 hours before crashing.
It looks like VLC has some kind of debug logging capability. I’m going to research that a bit to see if there is a way to find out when it crashes.
Thanks for the help!

OK those went through as well and VLC didn’t die… I wonder if there is some kind of VLC logging somewhere?

Well the thing runs through all of my images, but doesn’t give any error…. I wonder if it is one of the video files?
I am liking this PopperTesting application though! Has come in handy for other items…
Any other suggestions to capture when or what was happening when VLC craps out in popper?
Thanks!
Cameron

OK thanks for the clarification! Yeah I’ll go look at the wiki again for FX3 I’m pretty sure that I have had the same happen in VPX, but not nearly as often as can happen in FX3. I’ll def. Â go over the. wiki.
Thanks!

Thanks so much! I’m about to run through that. I am excited to use the new functionality. I think there will be a lot of things that could be done with that interface that would be totally awesome!

Thanks for the advice on this one! My focus issues are intermittent so I will give this a try to help on the timing.

So there isn’t really a RPI pinball emulator like the PCs have, but there are some pretty powerful small form-factor machines that could do a mini cab. Do a search for the guy that build one based on the Latte Panda. It is a really cool project.
Now they have the Latte Panda Alpha that is much more powerful than the original. It is not as cheap as the rpi at all though :(

Sweet. It ran all night and all day today without any issues or crashes. Have a big log file…
I don’t see any obvious errors in the log. are there any keywords I can search for in the log that would indicate something is wrong?
Most things look like this:

OK I wasn’t on 3.7 so did that update and left it running overnight. No crash. I do have it on logging. I’ll check again when I get back home from work. Fingers crossed, but that is great. I’m sure I do need to find some gremlin media file. Maybe the log will help flush that out?

I really look forward to this one. I use VP to help me find real pins to buy. So far, at least 3-4 of my real pins came from me playing the virtual versions.
Examples:
Fish Tales, Twilight Zone, Comet and Cyclone
I have played a real TNA a few times. It is really great. Looking forward to a deeper dive with VP.
Thanks @scottdanesi

OK thanks for the tips. I thought I had the latest, but I’ll check and will do the logging. Probably is a crap media file.
PuP System is soooo great!
