I don’t know what in the nuts you did to the site, but my requests are QUICK now. They used to lag a bit (downloads were screaming) but the request for the addresses would be latent. I always assumed a dirty fiber at an FDP or something…this is great. Thanks @randr!
It’s 07:40 in the morning here. Sadly I see only a little difference. As I wrote in the morning the siteloads are always a little faster.
So I will see later, if there are differences.
But thanks for your work @randr.
randr wrote: @joey2001 made some changes and temporarily removed many features of site for testing. See if its any better. Site should load much faster if your logged out as there is a 2 hour cache delay for non logged in users.
WOW @randr its much faster now! A big difference. Thanks!
Is there a chance that the page will load faster at some point?
Pageviews have been very, very slow for months.
For me it’s the best pinball site out there. So I really regret the slow loading.
Downloads work well and quickly.

So, where I’m located the new year is about 02:40 into the new year and I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you all for the fun you’ve given me in the past year. I’ve learned a lot from you guys, and are truly appreciative of all the feedback, good or bad. Preferably good of course ;)

Right after Pennant Fever, I was talking to @randr about my next table or two and I remember something he told me when I was listing all the tables that I wanted to build. He said if you just pump ou…[Read more]
I just sent an email to IPDB asking where the submitted pics are. I suspect the site is barely maintained and managed by those that don’t have a lot of energy for it anymore. I’m sure I’ll hear back from them promptly and I’ll suggest they let @randr take the site over. He seems to have lots of time on his hands lately ;)
This community has a very wide range of knowledge when it comes to the real machines. Sometime, they do add oddities to the tables, like JP did for Captain Fantastic, small changes, but different. Very often though, you don’t get to the “gems” without reading … in most cases the 50 or so first lines of the table script. Authors, may, hide or put…[Read more]
…that’s odd, because @randr made the table specifically to need NO resources for UltraDMD, so there’s no folder needed for that. Do you have ScoreType set to 1 at the top of the script? Setting it to 2 or 3 specifically invokes PinUpPlayer.
