Looks like the table has digested the leap from Blender to VPX very, very, veeeeeery well. Now here we are in VPX.
@schreibi34 is doing an amazing job. For me this is high level art and a pure pleasure to see all parts coming together.
I have added a fourth mode how the head of Frank is moving. It’s inspired by an older version of the table…[Read more]

@armyaviation Hey Tom thanks for the shout-out. Yeah I will definitely get around to finishing Escape, but like you work has drastically changed lately and haven’t been able to devote nearly as much time as I was to VP (seriously had months where I was able to put in hours per day). I had wanted to try and make everything independent of POV and…[Read more]

I always though the artwork looked great but the playfield feels crowded with lots of things to deflect balls back at the player, I think the core of the playfield layout issue is the targets belo…

Great job, can’t wait to see the final project @schreibi34. Keep up the good workAgain, not my rendering! Thats Dids rendering from the beginning of the thread! As long as we don’t find a good, plain 4k Playfield image fresh out of PS with no shadows baked, i’m out. I would do the texturing but a good PF image is mandatory. So if a…[Read more]

If nobody wants to render this, i would do it. But only under these conditions:- All meshes are available with the correct UV-map so i can start rendering (almost) right away. Also a time problem on my end. Retexturing is a ton of work!
That is a very generous offer, @schreibi34. Last I looked at this project…

90% of the GI lights are in now. This is my first GI full build and I am very happy with how it turned out. I used @Schreibi34 3 light method and it works great
For some reason my screenshots are always darker than the actual table. I still need to add a few GI lights, figure out the rom controlled flashers, add the back wall flashers, ge…[Read more]

Sorry @Schreibi34, tried taking some pictures at the Expo but the lighting and environment weren’t conducive to producing quality images. The gaming hall was too dark with too many reflections from neighboring machines, couldn’t even get the focus to work half the time (on my phone camera). Sample crappy shot below, the topper was hilarious though..

@Schreibi34 I played a lot of real pinball the last few days at the Chicago Pinball Expo (played more than 100 different machines) and was able to play some games on a mint condition Deadly Weapon. I couldn’t believe how realistic your recreation compared to the real thing, graphically a mirror copy down to the finest color tones, lighting,…[Read more]
