Jack-bot is the ONE table that got me hooked again, around the end of the 90’s.
It cost me a lot of quarters, I drove about 4 miles just to play this at a cafetaria…
I ordered and ate some (most of the times cold!) fries, because else the owner would think I was crazy,
coming over just to play his Jack-Bot !It is not the most challenging or complicated machine, but you can play it for hours … ‘my precious Casino Run..’
Looking forward to a VPX Jack-Bot, and proud to bump a half year old topic
Tanks again to all you guys for all your great work and contributions.
Marcel.

I’ve found the problem here was I had vpinmame 2.7 and although it will run, all manner of ball trough errors will also occur. After installing vpinmame 2.8b it hasn’t missed a ball at all and works perfectly.
Updating from VPM 2.8 to 2.8b fixed it for me too! Thanks

Thanks for your reply Drybonz.
I did remove the NVRam and as tried a redownload and re-install of the entire table, but my issue isn’t solved by doing that.
I use the latest version of all components and I run VP 10.2
Pressing B and then selecting No sometimes solves this issue for me, but the most of the times it doesn’t.
When the table plays, it looks and plays great, incredibly how detailed and almost the real thing in physiscs.
Maybe I just need to wait for an updated version, but what a great table this isÂ

I’ve found that pressing b > no, removing a ball seems to correct the issue everytime, maybe there is one too many balls in the trough to start with or it’s overflowing somehow?
!!! EDIT: Solved by installing VPinMame 2.8b !
Here come new sleepless nights and mad neighbours  Thank you all for your contributions and suggestions. !!!
Hi Knorr,
thank you very much for this great recreation, we were waiting filled with excitement for it.
It looks and plays great, but there seems to be an issue with the ‘locating balls’ as mentioned by others in this support topic.
When you enter the ‘door open menu’ there is an option under Test called ‘clr out blls’.
When you use that option it says ‘clearing balls from under playfield’.
This keeps running endlessly, shooting new balls and letting them drain endlessly.
Probably something to do with the sensor that registers when a new ball is ready for launching, sorry I don’t know the correct term.
Maybe this will help you solve this issue.
Thanks again for this incredible table and all your work in general.
Marcel

Thank you Nfozzy, this is a true work of art!
I played hundreds of tables over the years but I have literally never seen anything like this… :-D
I take my hat off for you Sir, or Madam.
Thank you and your friends keep up the good work.

I know its something small but does anyone know how to make that games name at the bottom of the table come into full view? or is that how the table is with the name cut off?
Hi there Shane,
you should load your table in VP10 and then click ‘backdrop’ on the left and then click options.
You will get an extra small screen.
write down the default values  and then start tinkering with the values.
X and Y scale will make your playfield bigger and smaller, and with ‘offset’Â you can adjust placement.
have fun,
Marcel

Hmmmm…… does anyone else have any idea as to why I might be experiencing this issue?
Hi there Wolfgang and others.
My name is Marcel and I would like to thank you all for making visual pinball such a great hobby.
But I experience exactly the same issue here.
With indeed all the MM tables on VP10.
I recently did a total reinstall of my Win7 Ult x64 including all Windows updates and the latest VP9 and VP10 are now installed on my cabinet system, but I keep experiencing that same issue too.
All my VP9 MM tables do not have that issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, greetings from The Netherlands.
