VP in on itself – still imports libraries for winxp. But, well, freezy pr. example doesn’t support that win version. I don’t see Win7 being outdated for any vp related project soon, but, of course, there is no guarantee either. The software is tied together with a lot of rubber bands and duck tape.

I’m sure he didn’t place them randomly ;) What is required is that the table has a unique cGameName string in the script, and that someone with the right permissions add it to the dof tool. But, there is also a free spot there that you can use while testing. I don’t remember the name of it. But, of course, if you don’t have DOF yourself. It is probably better to give someone with the ability to test it a preview copy. My DOF is still dead. @arngrim might bite. But, he might also be busy with something else.

Depends. It is not like this is well paid job, and I do sleep at times. Sometime I even might get drunk and sleep longer than normal. If that clashes with other moderators, well, it takes longer. Good enough answer for this un-thoughtful question ?

This is my take on it. As long as VP supports Win7, I will install that operating system. With VP I include also the other stuff like Freezy’ dmdextetion, DOF etc. From DjRobX, he was a bit unsure if the at91jit that you might have to fiddle with is less of a problem on Win10. Except for that, I don’t envy any of the guys having to reinstall nvidia, tune their machine regulary after updates. Getting spied on for every mouse click and having to wonder if defender once again stopped something out of the blue.

Yeah. I agree with the other guys. You did a splendid job on this one. If you take upon yourself Big House, that would be awesome. There are so many great re-creations that Big House, has barely been played by me at all. And that normally means, something isn’t right. I’m a guy who is put off if the physics is really bad, or the machine isn’t working correctly. I of course love to have good looking tables, but, a ugly looking one, playing correctly and without some idiot destroying the physics with eg. rubbers feels like being 40 years++ old. Sure, I’ll play it.

If you want to change the lut. Then just disable the selector in the script, pick the one you want in the background dropdown. The routine is using LUT_x_7 – so if you want the first one LUT_1_7 … sencond LUT_2_7 etc.

Experimenting with different things like that is imo. important to get a good result in the end. And, you are right about moving those flipper buttons. They need to feel natural. VP isn’t 100% the same as regular pinball, so, you want to make sure that at least the things that can be, is as close as possible. Get a tilt bob pr. example.

Easy – download the sounds you want – replace them in sound manager. EM’s is fully written via scripts and the script decides what to be played. Don’t ask me to do it, I prefer pinballs to play and sound like they used to.

Well, for 10.7beta – be aware, it has weirdness going on for the backglass. Mentioned in the beta thread. Stick with 10.6.2 for now for the tables that are created for 10.6 and earlier.
