Whirl-Wind (Gottlieb 1958)
Whirl-Wind is a great example of a classic Gottlieb woodrail. Like many of this era, it has gobble holes, a roto target, alternating scoring lamps and a lot of bumpers. What makes this game unique is the center kicker between the flippers that launches the ball toward the roto target. It keeps the gameplay lively and offers a unique flipper configuration. @scorpion approached me about building this game some months ago. He provided photos and even measurements. From there I started rebuild/redraw work on the playfield and plastics. Thankfully @scottacus was available on the scripting side of things. A quick word about what Scott was able to accomplish for this game: the peculiarities of how a roto target works, how it spins, stops, and indexes, were all thought through and brought to life in the coolest way possible. Even the lamps at the gobble holes light properly as the target spins. It is really something to see. So extra thanks to Scott beyond his normal excellence at bringing EMs to life for the ingenuity on display. Source images: scorpion Scripting/rules/ideas: scottacus Graphics/models/physics: bord Thanks also to the handful of beta testers that offered great feedback. Game notes: Two POV files are included in the download. One leaves the table at 1:1 and includes the woodrails, the other fills the screen w/ the playfield. The script has an option to enable the manual ball lift (authentic). I modeled the entire cabinet for this game so if someone is inclined to create a VR version I'm happy to share my files for it. Don't smoke. It looks cool but only another smoker will ever want to kiss you. Also it is really bad for you. Read More -
Pole Position (Sonic 1987)
VPX Conversion by: Goldchicco & 32assassin vp8 table by: TAB vp9 table by JP Salas Thank You to JP Salas for giving me the OK to proceed with this conversion and for those kind words when I presented the table to him: It looks good. Still it doesn't have the right proportions. I made the table 13 years ago, when the screen where 4:3, cabinets didn't exist, and VP didn't have any zoom capabilities. So I made the table as big as posible, cutting away the apron as much as I could As you can see the graphics where 1024x1024, since that was the max size VP could handle." Special Thanks to : @32assassin for helping me with this conversion and for sharing his passion, knowledge and time. @vogliadicane for the LUT file @sneakily1 for the environmental image I borrowed from his personal collection @movieguru for upscaling and enhancing images This conversion carried over well known 'issues' as described above . I decided to share it anyway with the community, so consider it as blueprint for a new completely rebuild, feel free to Mod or share any improvements. Hope you enjoy it the way it is and please leave constructive feedback or comments in the support topic and will try to make it better. FSS MOD Rocky (Gottlieb 1982)
This is a conversion to FSS format made by me. The original table is from Tom & Randr, thank you very much for this title made by you. Well, as usual, all the work was done through the tutorial videos of Nick Christopher (Arconovum), and everyone already knows how much I appreciate the support he has been giving me all this time (Thank so much Nick). Once again, thanks to Nick (Arconovum) for helping me solve a problem in the lighting animation of the "ROCKY sign at BG" ... thank you very much. The art and general lighting of the BG was based on the B2S by Piggei (thanks, for this job) with light insertion after viewing TNT Amusenments video, I tried to make it as realistic as possible. What's new in the FSS version? ... Well, here we go: - Insertion of BB and BG, with lighting based on the B2S by Piggei (thanks), and insertion lights by me (based in video by TNT Amusenments); - Some adjustments and improvements to the table for better viewing in the FSS format; - insertion of the Day & Night code and other table lighting effects, giving a better visual effect and realism; - and I think that's it. And thank you very much to all the VPX and table developers, without you the fun wouldn't be possible. Well, this is a great new title that could not be missing in the FSS format. Enjoy it. VR Room Attack From Mars g5k Edition Minimal (Bally 1995)
A minimal room for Attack from Mars by Bally, based on g5k's superb VPX version. I made this lightweight version for mainly for myself, but I thought as I'd share it for people who have issues running Rawd's excellent full blown VR room complete with UFO's, martians and burning houses, found here; https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/vr-room-attack-from-mars-bally-1995-g5k/ You can turn off the room in this with the magnasave button, but quite a few systems have issues loading it in the first place due to it's complexity. I plan to include the VR quality of life updates and changes I made into Rawds version as well. Or if you want something fun but different there's Unclewilly and Walter's Attack from Mars Battle Edition, based on JP's AFM which has flying saucers on the table which you can hit too (like Car Toons roaches) which can be found here; https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/vrroom-attack-from-mars-battle-edition/ Enjoy! VR ROOM Tee'd Off Minimal (Gottlieb 1993)
Added the VR conversions to this table that was done by rothbauerw and dark (thanks for the permission to mod!). It really is a fun table to play and looks great in VR! Sixtoe provided a once over and did a couple additional tweaks, including a fix to the outlane triggers and some reflections. Once again, I changed the typical minimal room slightly to have a wood floor, and a slightly different wall... which gives an appearance of lighting from the pinball machine casting on the wall. You can change back to the original walls and floor in the options section of the script. I also added a golf course environment as well (option 2 in the settings). Anyway, I hope you enjoy! And thanks again to rothbauerw and Sixtoe! Read More -
South Park - Halloween
Goin down to South Park, gonna to have myself a time!!! First off, a HUGE thank you to: Knorr - for creating and epic table and allowing me to reskin his original South Park Table. Hawkeyez88 - for creating an epic PuP-Pack to go along with this table. Download Movieguru - for working his sharpening magic on the playfield images. This is my first attempt at reskinning a VPX table. There are so many talented people creating epic content for this VP Community and I've been wanting to give back when/where I can, so I gave it a go...and here it is. The Goonies Pinball Adventure-2 Screen Setup
These files allow 2 Screen users to enjoy The Goonies Pinball Adventure table by positioning the DMD correctly on the backglass by using an alternate PinUpPlayer.ini file that will not affect any other table. **This is for 2 Screen users only-Backglass/Playfield. I made this for 5:4 and 4:3 backglass users like myself. You can edit the PinUpPlayer.ini to fit your resolution. Details here: https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=pinup_pack_layout Download the table here: https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/the-goonies-pinball-adventure/ A big thank you to Javier for his original release. I made a new backglass image to incorporate the speaker/dmd grille. The.mp4 file is not needed. It is my Backglass in Popper. Read More
