Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996)
Side notes : I'm very happy to share this update 1.5 because for the first time this table should be truly playable. Until now the way the BigFatso moved in all the previous versions was wrong enough to kill the game's rules. To be clear it plays and looks now far better than expected when I started to rebuild this table :) But don't expect to get one of the prettiest vpx tables: the ressources available for this pinball are very limited and not very good. Also I don't have enough skill to do something really better than that. - BigFatso would need to be modelized in 3D to look better and to allow a small transparency without having borders (it still looks slightly better using 4xSSAA) - The "Contact Lens" toy is missing but I still don't really understand how this toy works (useless btw) - The sounds (mostly collisions) need to be improved. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wanted first to make a mod of the previous vpx version of this table but I finally rebuilt it from scratch. So this is a "new" VPX version... But nothing would be possible without the previous versions made. This is my first try... To rebuilt this table I took many parts directly from the previous versions made (mostly from the last Bigus version). I did a lot of work to redraw many arts of this because there is nearly no real scans available. So I did the same as the previous autors and tried to take the best from the few pictures available on the net... Thanks to the previous autors (I won't be able to do anything without their work) - Destruk and TAB for the VP9 version - Rascal for the VPX conversion - Bigus for the MOD and the VPX version Read More -
VR Room Atlantis (Gottlieb 1975)
This is a minimal VR Room conversion of another of Loserman76's tables: Atlantis. The file authors on the original tables are listed as: Loserman76, Bodydump, GNance. No major changes were made to the table in this one. A few pegs were moved as the ball was getting stuck in a few places. Special thanks to Sixtoe for all his VR assets. They are a great help. The following instructions were included in the original description: in addition to the "standard" keys (typically "1" to start game and "5" for coin), I've added "3" as another coin input and "4" for coin and auto-start game (like I recall the dime slots generally were) to simulate 3 coin slots when game is not in progress, holding down left flipper for about 3-5 seconds will bring up the options menu. left flipper selects item, right flipper changes option. --IMPORTANT-- The B2S file is required for the backglass to work. The B2S is included. Read More -
Checkpoint (Data East 1991) - agentEighty6 MOD
This is my MOD of Checkpoint that is based on the VPX version done by GoldChicco and 32Assassin. The more I played this table, the more I liked it and I wanted to really give it a good update to add all the bells and whistles and improve upon what they did. I've tested it on both FS and DT and they seem to play well (in my opinion) and both DOF and SSF seem to work well on my cab. This MOD includes the following changes/enhancements: 'Added flupper flashers. 'Fixed flasher solenoid assignments. 'Added nfozzy flippers. 'Updated physics. 'Corrected various switches. 'Created and added main ramp primitive. 'Added led bulb lighting to signs. 'Improved GI lighting. 'Added car toy headlights. 'Updated lights on back panel. 'Added speaker panel and lights (for DT). 'Cleaned up insert lights. 'Changed inserts to reflect on ball. 'Added subway to left vuk. 'Animated bumpers like real table. 'Updated lights in bumpers. 'Added VR support and playfield enhancements (sixtoe) 'Added playfield mesh and enhanced kicker (bord) As mentioned above, this is based on the VPX version by Goldchicco, 32assassin so I had a great start to improve upon what they already did. Shout out also to the authors that created the VP9 version to which the VPX version was built: Bodydump, Requlem, Destruk, Batch And also the Future Pinball authors Francisco666 & Bodydump. VR Room Space Mission (Williams 1976)
This is a VR Room conversion of Loserman76's Space Mission. It seems like many people had a hand in making the table so all of the credit goes to them: Loserman76, Bord, PBecker, Itchigo. Also thanks to Sixtoe and drwinghot1 for their room templates. There are 2 files. A Minimal room and a full VR room, complete with updated arcade to Asteroids to fit the year and theme better (it's not quite perfect, but it's close) and new artwork. --IMPORTANT-- The B2S file is required for the backglass to work. The B2S is included with both files. Read More -
WaterWorld (Gottlieb 1995) MOD
This is a MOD (mostly visual/graphic) of the amazing VisualPinball Table Waterworld !!! This table was built for VP9 by mfuegemann and recently converted to VPX by Goldchicco & 32assassin (with also the help from Arrestis for the playfiled/apron and Arngrim for DOF script) Thanks to all involved! I'm pleased to share my very first contribution (with approval of Goldchicco) For this MOD I just polished it the best I can (the flashers, some lights, some plastics, some materials, ...) and many small changes and fixes (ramps, playfield...) Unfortunately this table lacks good ressources... but even like that the table looks good and plays great. It was already really enjoyable and now I hope it will be even more!! Enjoy! Read More -
Creature From The Black Lagoon (Bally 1992)
Reuploaded table as VR elements were not disabling for DT mode on new table. It is now fixed. V1.2: I added animated flipper buttons for VR (its the little things). Adjustments by tomate new metal plates for the ramps new less faceted prim for the upper right metal wall (I modified the vpx wall too) new metals textures For VR: Backglass now runs B2S files, be sure to disable grills, DMD, and B2S DMD in B2S settings (right click the backglass on the screen) Runs in regular desktop mode and VR Room. Edit script to VRRoom = 1 for VR Minimal Room. Updated to table: Issue with center lane (drive through lane) and ramps so ball doesn't always drain center and is more like the real table. Table rebuild by Sixtoe (updated ramps with lighting and asset changes, along with timer adjustments, along with other many miscellaneous items) VPX Table by: fuzzel, flupper1, rothbauerw Special thanks to fuzzel and rothbauerw for permission to mod. VR Room Fireball (Bally 1972)
This is the VR Room conversion for Pinball58's beautiful Fireball table. This is my first time putting a table into a VR Room, and while I'm sure there's still room for improvement, I'm happy with how it turned out. It was quite the learning curve as the size of this one doesn't really fit into any of the existing templates. The table itself remains largely the same with the exception of many changes to lighting, where many changes had to be made in order for it to look good in VR. --IMPORTANT-- The B2S file is required. While I would like to eventually learn how to script the reels in, and I am looking into learning how, I can't do that quite yet. Fortunately, the B2S file works great. DCrosby's great B2S can be dowloaded from: https://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/4051-new-b2s-alert-fireball-bally-1971/ This was a fun first project, but I'm there's still room for improvement. If anyone notices anything, feel free to contact me! Finally, I've been told that Pinball58 is no longer really active. I have sent him a request to put his table in a VR environment, but I have not heard back. If there is any problems with this release, please send me a message and I will take it down. Special thanks: -Pinball58 for this amazing table -DCrosby for the B2S -Sixtoe for checking out the table and providing a few very useful suggestions, especially instructions on how to animate the plunger. VR Room Class of 1812 (Gottlieb 1991)
Added the VR conversions to this table that was done by Bigus (Thanks for the permission to mod!), Tom Towers, and Ninuzzu. I really enjoy playing the Class of 1812 table, and wanted to get this into VR. I did a lot of mods... (all documented in the script). including lighting, backglass, flashers, lighting, GI, and other table issue (high score initials, and others). I used the Blacksad dark image from his backglass, as it looks amazing. All the interactivity was done in the script. Sixtoe did a lot of lighting updates as well, including bloom lighting, overlay, etc. Once again, I changed the typical minimal room slightly to have a wood floor, and a slightly different wall... which gives an appearance of lighting from the pinball machine casting on the wall. You can change back to the original walls and floor in the options section of the script. If you get 3 credits each time you add a coin, I put instructions in the script on how to modify your ROM to only add one coin. Anyway, I hope you enjoy! And thanks again to Bigus, Tom Towers, Ninuzzu, Blacksad, and Sixtoe! Read More
