Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (Sega 1995) v1.2
VPX version by Schreibi34 and Herweh Version 1.2: - Cleaned up the wire ramp meshes and rerenderd them. - Removed the "double chin" caused by the perspective rendering method in DT view at the end of the left acrylic ramp. - New material for the left acrylic ramp and the acrylic cover over the BC's (little less reflections). - Physics for the BC's adjusted so the ball has a chance to stay in that area a little longer. Makes the shots in there a little more satisfying. - I never liked the PF the way i renderd it. No depth at all. Changed the PF lighting and material for more depth. For me this was the most important part of the patch. Table is now a bit easier to play because of the enhanced visual depth. You can see the elevated things better now. - Adjusted the hight of the invisible collideable VP wireramps to fit the prims better. Schreibi34: Visuals and gameplay "It's simply amazing what you do in Blender. So thrilling, so inspiring, so extraordinary. I'm overwhelmed every time when I see what you have created. You are the man. And a very relaxed, cool guy too. And for sure an awesome drummer ;-). Once again it was a pleasure and an honor to work with you" (this was written by Herweh) Herweh: Scripting, VP development and gameplay "Everything you see below in this script! Without him Mr. Basic v2.0 Schreibi34 would have been totally lost! What he has done on this table goes beyond my imagination. From animating Frank to implementing RothbauerW's physics to the texture swaps to all sorts of extras. Please check out all the stuff that the script Voodoo Master has provided for you below! Thanks for being such a cool guy! It was a pleasure!" (this was written by Schreibi34) Special thanks to: - Dark: We all know what he did! Frank is just jawdropping!! - Dids666: For starting all of this and his awesome meshes. Thanks for letting us finish this!! - Sheltemke: For stitching together the PF image and playtesting - Mlager8: For PS help on the sling plastics - RothbauerW: For his awesome physics' guide at vpinball.com and some more help on the physics - Mark70, Bord, Thalamus: For beta testing and some good hints - Batch: For the DT background image (Sorry for making it a bit darker! Batch's original is in the image manager for those who like more pop) Magna save selects LUT filters! Read More -
Playboy (Stern 2002)
What we thought was going to be a fairly straight forward conversion of a previous VP8 + VP9 version of Playboy (Stern 2002) turned out to basically need a complete rebuild and recreation from scratch. Using an original playfield blueprint, Rascal meticulously rebuilt the entire table with every detail put in the correct places. All toys and special features were rebuilt from scratch to function properly as well. Using high-resolution photos taken by a friend of mine the real table, all playfield and plastics images were redrawn / recreated to match as close as possible to the original with minor exceptions of areas that couldn't be photographed without completely stripping the playfield - which was not an option. Due to some of the real images / graphics used on the original table, such as the centerfold faces in the center of the playfield and all the swappable / interchangeable inserts, that were very low print quality and filled with print DOTS, all real images of the centerfolds and inserts were cobbled together from MUCH BETTER quality PLAYBOY images form the internet. Many of the insert images were from actual PLAYBOY pictorials published in the magazine, and alternate images that were never published, but were used for this game only. I was able to find 90% of the actual images used, but had to substitute other PLAYBOY images from the same era / year for any we were missing. That being said - because this table is "all digital" we were able to build in EXTRA images for all the inserts. If you have the script option set to "nudity" - the table will automatically / randomly pick from 5 different nudity sets of inserts that were created for this table. That means you will see different "girls" every time you play the table ... and who doesn't like seeing MORE naked and beautiful woman while playing pinball? You can change the ALL the insert images for the Peek A Boo, opening Centerfold, Magazine Inside, Spinning Splash Triangle, Tease Door, and Mirror during gameplay by using the LEFT MAGNASAVE button. See below for more info. Rascal went above and beyond making this table as great as it could be. His skill set and attention to making everything look, work, and play properly (including the GROTTO mirror reflection that never worked on any other prior release) and he deserves all the thanks and credit. Our collaboration was very smooth, easy, and most importantly, fun, especially during this tough time our country (and the world for that matter) is going through at the moment. We hope you enjoy the hard work we put in to making this table for the VPX community! Download includes: New Wheel Image and BMP AVI for Real DMD + RealColorDMD front end users. Link to ROM: https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=1120 INTERESTING FACT: - - - - - - - - - Bally / Williams original started development of this table to be part of the Pinball 2000 lineup ... using the same holographic imaging as Revenge from Mars and Star Wars Episode I. That would have been amazing! After the fall of the company, the pinball's basic design / theme was picked up and released by Stern Pinball. This is why most of the actual PLAYBOY images used in this pinball are from 1998, 1990, and 2000 issues of the Playboy Magazine and NOT from 2001 or 2002 when the table was released by Stern. NOTES: - - - - - - - - - You can adjust the Day / Night Cycle slider if you want to make the table appear brighter or darker than how it has been released. FEATURES: - - - - - - - - - - Complete Rebuild of Table - Brand New 4k Playfield and Plastics Scan + Recreation - Brand New 2k Backglass / Translate Scan + New B2S - Complete Toys Rebuild, Features, and Functions - 1 Non-Nude Set of Inserts, and 5 Nude Sets of Inserts - New Lighting FX to match original table SCRIPT OPTIONS: - - - - - - - - - - Script Option: Centerfold Playfield Lighting: Light Centerfold+Month, Month Only (Default = Centerfold+Month) - Script Option: Nudity, Non-Nudity for all Inserts (Default = Non-Nudity) - Script Option: Alternate Flipper Appearance / Texture (Default: False ie: Original) ADD ONS: - - - - - - - - - - Use LEFT MAGNASAVE to change Opening Centerfold, Peek A Boo, Playboy Magazine Inside, Splash Spinning Triangle, Tease Door, and Mirror Panel inserts from nude to non-nude and visa versa. There are 5 nude sets of inserts and 1 non-nude. Every time you press the LEFT MAGNASAVE, the table will swap from non-nude to 1 of 5 different sets of nude versions. This feature works during gameplay and when table is in attract mode. Perfect way to immediately hide the nudity from people who might be offended. - Use RIGHT MAGNASAVE to turn ON / OFF the main playfield Centerfold Lights. This option is for the centerfolds image + month to illuminate, or just the month. In the original table, it was only the month that illuminated. SPECIAL THANKS: - - - - - - - - - - Rascal - for original conversion to VPX and complete rebuild of table, all functions, and features - GothGloom + Mary - for all the photos of the real pinball machine - Bigus - for lighting and other enhancements - Siggi - for some light elements from his previous redraw - TAB and Destruk - for the VP8 starting point table - Dark - for the spotlight model - Zany - for the flasher domes - nFozzy - for all the screws and bolts - All the wonderful developers who made VPX what it is today - - - - - - - - - This project took considerable time and we wanted to share it with everyone ... so "thanks" or comments in the support topic would be greatly appreciated. Star-Jet (Bally 1963)
Bally's Star-Jet is a visual stunner. Atomic era art combined with pinball's first three-ball multiball make this a notable part of pinball history. This VPX release is a bord/rothbauerw collaboration. Bord on visuals, rothbauerw on script/VR/FSS. It was initiated by robobet and resources were cobbled from a variety of photos to create the playfield and plastics. Backglass base image was generously provided by popotte. Thanks to the beta testers. Some notes: Ball lift works via plunger This game is a lot of fun with two players (lock stealing) B2S is included in the download This game is VR/FSS tested and ready (check script) Seriously, the art Someone helped me prep the plastic art and I lost his contact info. Hit me up so I can give you proper credit... Read More -

Endless Summer (Original 2020) V0.9.6
Read the changelog, read the instructions, read rules top of script, get the PuPPack (link see Installation tab)! Without the following (and much more) this table wouldnt exist (random order): Big thanks to Thalamus, bord, JP Salas, Flupper, DJRobX, NailBuster, TerryRed, ninuzzu, HauntFreaks, ROM, rothbauerw, borgdog, arngrim, Mussinger, toxie, JR, randr, GTO77, BeachBumTN, ScottyVH, ScottyWic, fuzzel, Schreibi34, MajorFrenchy, gtxjoe, supered, 3rdaxis, wrd1972, sliderpoint, mfuegemann, mcali, and all those that I forgot to mention... Here comes my first and most likely only original table. It was built from scratch and I mean REALLY scratch (although it contains a lot of stolen parts from other tables . I started 8 months ago with an idea and no programming skills at all - really NONE. It cost me half a year of my lifetime, lots of nerves and almost all of my hair, but here it is. I hope you like it as much as I do (to be honest, its the best Pinball out there, trust me - at least one of the best surfing themed pinballs ... Read the WIP-thread, if you want to know about the journey ( https://vpinball.com/forums/topic/the-endless-summer-original-dip-desaster-in-progress/ ). Of course there are still some bugs/things that I will work on in the future (hopefully with some help of more experienced guys/gals), but for now I am a little tired of it... DOF – Arngrim gratefully added a slot for the Endless Summer table. I do not know much about „DOFing“ and my cab is poorly fitted with. Two solenoids for flippers, a gear motor and an old LED-strip (not addressable) is all I have…so if anyone wants to fill up the code and DOF configtool with DOF code – you are very welcome (up to now flippers, slingshots, gear motor and Undercab Lighting is used and working) Ramp/Wireramp rolling sounds – I have tried with some soundfiles but there must be something I have missed. I have tried with „general“ rolling sounds, triggers and so on. I didnt get it working, but nothing I worry too much about. Most of the time I pump up the music volume anyway ;-) some more sounds are working, some dont, who cares? Blender ramps – right now there are VPX-ramps and cup only – I am fine with it. Without wearing glasses I do not see much difference anyways ;-). I have tried Blender several times but this programme causes me headaches, makes me nervous and angry. Some others like it and are able to produce things magically in virtually no time. Not me… „A primitive wave“ – my idea was a breaking wave around the upper ramp. Great effect with relatively little effort (I thought) -just a plain cylindrical transparent tube rotating around the upper ramp when the ball is rolling down the ramp. Put an image of blue water with some foam (lip of the wave) at the frontend on it. Let it rotating coming directly out of the back wall… and let it disappear again. I managed to make a tube and putting an image to it. But I couldnt get the origin of the tube placed in the middle of the tube, so rotating always was weird… shouldnt be a big deal for someone knowing what he is doing… thx @bord for making me a primitive primitive ;-), now there is a breaking wave :-))), well not as spectacular as expected, still can be improved a lot... Multiplayer – as in times of Corona you should play single anyways… in fact, you can play with up to 4 players but I have not checked out much. I bet there are lots of bugs when playing with more than one player. I never focused on that and its probably a lot of work checking each and every variable and lightstate for its relevancy for multiplayer. So I recommend to play one player games only…on the other hand, if you can take it easy, it might add a lot of fun getting unpredictable advantages/disadvantages when playing multiplayer? Start a new game – I have an outro running at the end of a game on the backglass, like the attract mode (which you can stop by pressing the start button). Right now you have to wait until the outro is finished before you can start a new game. Also be patient after entering a highscore. I did not notice stutter although I have by no means a highend computer, so i guess it should run on any machine. Sometimes drain triggers are firing multiple times when they should do once only (you get an „echo-sound“ then and multiple light-sequences – not really critical at all). I guess I am using wrong type of triggers or sth… - in very very rare circumstances a light sequences causes somewhat problems during drain, I dont know why, only happens when the ball drains very fast like a rocket...In very rare occasions the ball moves weird at the rubberposts at the outlanes There are also still many ways to pimp the graphics (playfield, targets, inserts and so on), and I have many more ideas like modes and a minigame and so on… maybe sometimes later… I built this table for my cab, 3 screens. Hopefully it works on your machine, too. It requires UltraDMD, PuP and VPX 10.6. If not - bad luck - I really cannot help and I am really sorry. Maybe others can. Thanks to all the guys that helped me, even if it was couraging words only. Thanks to all the authors, coders, admins and developers of vpx - some of them are mentioned in the script, most of them I forgot to make me a note of when I copy&pasted parts of their code. I do not know anything about copyrights. This peace of junk was made just for fun, no one should make money with it or parts of it. If I have done sth wrong, send me a note and I will take it off the servers. OK, put on your wetsuit, wax your board and enter the line-up Hang Loose! (P.S.: Table rules on top of the script or just follow the lights..., but knowing the rules you get much more points and chances for extraballs!) (P.P.S.: I am not responsible for your health issues caused by laughing to death when looking at the script!) Well, heres an incomplete list of all the guys who helped : Big thanks to Thalamus, bord, JP Salas, Flupper, DJRobX, NailBuster, TerryRed, ninuzzu, HauntFreaks, ROM, rothbauerw, borgdog, Mussinger, toxie, JR, randr, GTO77, BeachBumTN, ScottyVH, ScottyWic, fuzzel, Schreibi34, MajorFrenchy, gtxjoe, supered, 3rdaxis, wrd1972, sliderpoint, mfuegemann, all those that I forgot to mention Read More -
