Flight 2000 (Stern 1980) A classic design by Harry Williams featuring Stern's first foray into speech. F6 then check Dip 17 to enable speech. Special thanks to @JPSalas for permitting me to use his ball lock/lift off script and for testing it out for me. Thanks to @Thalamus for adding 7.1 sound. I started this build on a whim after finding some decent playfield images to work with. I was already working on 2 other classic Stern tables so this was a natural fit. There is a local Flight 2000 on location and I got pretty hooked on it. The ball lock mechanism and speech are particularly cool. Multiball can be hard to get but it is fun when it happens. Taxi (Williams 1988) Please note option at the top of script to toggle between two distinct lighting modes, standard lighting and color mod. From the same team that brought you Gilligan's Island, we're proud to present another great build! Table builder: ICPjuggla -Resources, layout, lighting, physics. Mfuegemann: Coding -Color mode swap, spinout ramp animation, rom hook up. Primitive animations and playfield re-draw Dark: 3D/art-3D plastic (with custom rendered textures) and wire form ramps, apron, various 3D table elements, PF shadows, GI flasher shadows. Ben Logan: Graphics clean ups/touch ups, added sound effects, physics fine tunning. 1.1 update - script updates (thank you arnagrim) -dark made some new parts for the ramp we missed. Diablo
*write up from JP, I'm not complimenting myself, though I am pretty great. Based on the characters of the computer game Diablo III by Blizzard Entertainment. jpsalas: VPX table (layout, script) scottywic: graphics & sounds (including DMD) STAT: b2s This table could have never been finished if scottywic hadn't remake all the graphics, make all the sounds and animations for the DMD, and he tested and tested and came up with changes here and there. So a big thanks to him The table is an original, so don't look for roms It uses UltraDMD, so just copy the Diablo.UltraDMD folder in the same folder as the table. And read the manual. There aren't complicated rules or modes, the game play should straightforward, but reading will help you understand the table and what are the goals. This table is a cooperative table. Fathom (Bally 1981) Vintage Mod
my first table. this is a heavy mod based on 32assassin's great Fathom, which is based on Unclewilly's version, so all credits and thanks go to these two. What I did: - completely remade playfield in 4k resolution (by stitching images from the web and partially redrawing, even bought a font for that job!) - completely remade plastics in 4k resolution (same way) - made new bumper caps from scratch - reworked or changed many objects, images and materials - completely remade all lights and illumination - apron reworked - "live" mirror metal wall at the top (only the ball is not reflected, don't know, how to do that) - and many other things, I don't remember anymore Physics (only minor changes): - made the table slightly slower - ! repositioned the rubber posts at the wicked vertical outlane, so that there's at least a small chance so save the ball from draining by nudging ! Btw, this is also the case for the real table as seen in videos on the web, so no cheating. The aim of this version was to get it as close to the original vintage table (yellow tint, vintage light bulbs a.s.o) As I already mentiond in the WIP thread, I will also make a second version, which will look like a polished Fathom with LED lights, plastics and playfield repros a.s.o. The desktop view needs a liitle more work, but is already quite ok now. Maybe I'll release an update in the future. Victory from Gottlieb (1987) This table has been developed on VPX 10.2.1. I was unsure which flipper sounds I should use, so I implemented two different sounds. You can choose your favorite in the option menu (F6). I developed the table under the ROM "victory", I didn't test any other roms. Some Hints: Checkpoint 1 works best from right flipper, you have to practice a little bit. Checkpoint 2 works also best from right(!) flipper. Locomotion (Zaccaria 1981)
Locomotion by Zaccaria for VPX with some slight tweaks. Although both cabinet and desktop mode supported and function, emphasis was on cabinet mode. Hopefully you will enjoy it and uncover things to fix. Used dboyrecords VPT version as a guide, for some resources and parts of the script and that table's authors included Luvthatapex and Destruk. Main rail, rings and some other primitives are from 32assassin's Magic Castle. Light Sequencer script, playfield GI lights, and some lighting from JPSalas' Slimer. Desktop background from wildman's backglass. Playfield and all plastics constructed from photographs found on the internet along with some sounds. Any oversights or faults are unintentional.
