Even though this is an old post, I had this issue tonight and discovered another way around.
I like the startup tests… it’s a pinball thing.
So another solution is to use the tom_13 rom, as this problem is unique to the 14 home rom.
Don’t forget to update the table script, cgame.. to ‘tom_13’ and it works fine.
