For sound, there’s an extra setting. If you press 0, it will bring up the option menu in the ROM. Navigate to standard adjustments, use 8/9 to move left/right in the menu. You’ll find a Music Volume setting that seems to be at 1 by default. You can turn it up to 15 and that might help you.
