Introducing Animal Crossing Pinball! (Original Table)
Ever since getting my Cab last year I’ve had the greatest respect to everyone who contributes to the virtual pinball community. With that in mind I wanted to try and give something back but didn’t know where to start on creating my own table, so instead I opted to mod what other creators had already done with a few black and white mods. This gave me the confidence I needed to try and create my own table and in late Nov 20 I thought I would finally give it a go
My intention was to do a Mandalorian table but while I was looking at how to work with .obj files in Blender I downloaded a few low poly models to try it out and import them into VPX and thought it looked like Animal Crossing. Both my daughters are huge AC fans so before I knew it the Animal Crossing theme had taken over and I decided to continue with that instead
The table in it’s current form isn’t quite 100% finished but it is at a state where it is playable (although missing the option to save high scores). I was going to use missions etc.. for each of the characters but in the end opted just for hitting targets and scoring points as I was way out of my depth as it was :) Maybe missions can be added in a future update
The greatest challenge has been the coding of the table as I have no knowledge in vbs. With that in mind I appreciate the fact that the script might not look as structured as normal, but I tried my best by looking at other tables and spending far to long searching Google and the forums for tips and examples… So a HUGE Thank You to everyone who helped by showing examples of scripts and answering questions in the forums as them questions are still relevant today for people like myself
I’m happy for anyone to jump in at this stage and offer any help that they see fit, It would be great to get the high score saves working if anyone has any ideas ?
In the download I have also included a B2S along with a Wheel, DMD and Backglass images for use in Pinup Popper

@swietlikowa @godisnothere Sorry to hear that :( it must be something in the script.. hopefully one of the vbs gurus might be able to chime in and let me know if anything needs changing. If anyone else can play it please let us know and that might narrow down the problem

Change DMD size to False in script and see if that helps (line 213)

OK, well first all in teh script, you use / where you should use \… for music, once you change those in teh script you no longer get errors but it hangs up on launching ultradmd. so I will wait to see if somone can fix this.

No I just tried that. its beyond what I can do, Im sure someone with the rigth skill set will see this and be able to fix it, I would rerelease it once its patched

I redownloaded now since you updated it, and It works flawlessly, and wow! what a table! I was suprised how great it actually was. Great job! You got a tallent sir.
