I’m on to the final phase of my build (hopefully) which is DOF and I can’t get my contactors to work when playing a table. This is all in Visual Pinball. I read old posts all day yesterday and the issue is not unique to me but I tried every fix described in those posts and it still doesn’t work.
For reference, I have 5 RGB LED’s hooked to an LEDWIZ and 6 contactors hooked to an FT245R relay board (not Sainsmart but the same type). My issue is only with the contactors. The LED’s work fine on every table I’ve tried.
I followed the install instructions several times and placed my relay board’s serial number into the cabinet.xml file. I created the GlobalConfig file although I’m not sure if I did it correctly. So when I launch the Direct Output Configuration Tester, everything works. All my Led’s and all of my Contactors. When I open the table configuration for any table it states, “no config files found”.
My DirectOutput folder is on my C directory with a shortcut placed in my plugins folder and DirectOutput does show up on my plugins when I look at my backglass settings. And one final thing to really confuse things. Even though no contactors do anything during game play, every time I launch 1 specific game (the one to not be mentioned), the two slingshot contactors fire and stay closed to the point where they burn out the fuses.
Thanks in advance for any guidance I can get.

November 16, 2018 at 11:46 am #104113Well you just solved my problem.
I didn’t have a “GlobalConfig_B2SServer.xml” file so I Googled it and found this thread https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=33219
where the poster stated he MUST use that exact name when creating his GlobalConfig file. I was just calling it something else. Anyway, I created another one and used that exact name and now everything works!
I don’t think I ever saw anything in the set up instructions and videos that stated what to name that globalconfig.xml file but there it is.
Thank youMark
