Imageenlarger (imglarger.com) is a great tool to upscale images as true as possible. Here an example compared to Photoshop:
There’s free to use option, which mostly helps a lot, but working with png-files, which are usually bigger than jpgs, you soon get to your limit.
So I bought a 1 month subscription (file size up 10 MB, resolution up to 2000 x 2000). I can enlarge a toal of 100 images, from which I will surely not do more than 50 (well, who knows).
So if you want some low rez files upscaled, e.g. PFs of rare tables, where we won’t get a super high rez scan in the near future, toss me a note and I’ll do my best.

March 17, 2020 at 6:24 pm #167734their are 100s of dB2s files that where built using images that get pixelated when you run your dB2s in 1080
if you want a group of suggestions that includes images; let me know. or go through the list of your favorite tables and upscale some images for us.
I tried to do this using the free online versions, but they limit the images sizes you can upload.

March 18, 2020 at 4:33 am #167783@Rawd both images are rather similar, just rotated in different directions. I think it makes more sense, if you give me the original unrotated image for upscaling, which you can then use for both versions.
@32assassin I already go through my list (just starting). I’ll post the results here. But sure, a group of suggestions would be good, too.You need to login in order to like this post: click here
March 20, 2020 at 8:10 pm #168142here are the biggest offenders
backglass for VP9 tables.
some of this files aren’t even 1K pixels.
I suggest anything under 1920×1080
but if you can do them in bulk we can always size them down.
I imported all the dB2s files into the editor ; did an dark image export and color corrected the files in PS.

March 21, 2020 at 4:42 am #168170Thanks @32assassin, wow quite a lot!
Yes I can do 10 in bulk. Downsizing not needed, because I only have to choose 2x or 4x and it runs for each.

March 28, 2020 at 3:37 pm #169266if anyone wants to join the party
you can do 19 images for free each month at this site
you will not get print quality but you will get a very noticeable upgrade
1200p on the left
3650p on the right
pick and choose your favorite tables  and take a look at the quality of the backglass,
if the image is under 1920p,   upscale it and share it with us.
I started to upscale images for the dB2s files I have released.
so far this what I have done
301-Bulls Eye (Grand Products 1986)
Antar (Playmatic 1979)
Chance Playmatic –> file was removed as I redrew most of this image at 1920p
Escape (Jac Van Ham 1987)
Magic Eight (Geiger 1980)
Screech (Inder 1976)
Speakeasy (Bally 1982)Â 2 player versionI will uploaded the dB2s files for everyone to download in a few months when I have more done.
or you can have access to my Dropbox folder where I have this files along the files I will add when you
upscale the images for your favorite tables.

March 29, 2020 at 2:24 am #169328Hmm. With a bit of organizing – we should be able to convert those in a few days instead of months.

March 29, 2020 at 8:12 am #169342Hey guys jumping in…at Christmas time there was a sale on Gigapixel AI and DeNoise, so I picked them up and the results have been mind blowing.  I have been converting all plastics, PF’s, and even object textures. (I thought about releasing high-def packages on here zipped up.) If you have a particularly bad PF or image and need it upscaled, feel free to reach out.  I can provide some examples if needed, but using Photoshop is no longer a necessity.

March 29, 2020 at 6:26 pm #169429Maybe https://github.com/sverrewl/vpxtable_scripts would be a good centralized place to put upscaled resources by specific table, if it is just a matter of swapping out files in the table editor.
Or in resources section here if the dimensions/size are verified correct (archival quality source for future projects, VPE, etc.)

June 19, 2020 at 3:32 pm #187254IÂ been using bigjpg to upscale PNG images for the past few months.
and by PNG images I mean wheel images with a transparent background.
I would consider buying the software but their no way in hell I will pay for a subscription.
I can only do 19 images a month so it took me a while to upscale all my FX2/3Â Â and VP9 wheels
still need to do 10 more VP9 wheels but they will be done next month when I get a fresh set of 19 image I can do.
I go the idea of going to all the public libraries in my town and and using their IP address to do 95 images a month
but then this C-19 BS started to happen.
I already up-scaled all the Backglass images I was going to do using this site
they do not have a limit on the number of files you can do a month given that the service is FREE!!!!!
the only problem is that they only do a 2X up scale . Because of this I do not do wheels in this site but its not really a problem with backglass images
given that the biggest backglass monitor used is a 32 inch or 2560×1440
I only need to do a 2X upscale for backglass images given that the up scaled file is usually over 2560 pixels wide.
