Here is my Black and White Mod of the excellent Brad1X table, Credit also of course to JPSalas for the original table!
This project was originally done using the awesome G5K version of Attack from Mars but unfortunately that will have to wait for an upload for the time being (hopefully that will get a release in the future :)
I have re coloured all of the table images and added a few new elements as well (thanks again to Brad1X for the amazing high res playfield to work with) and added some shading to get as close to the look of the G5K version as possible, along with adjusting the lighting and adding a couple of extra ones here and there. I’ve re drawn the apron to include the Limited Edition logo and some different cards, there are two versions in the image library, one with shadow (default) and one without so you can choose which you prefer. The DMD looks best in my opinion in green with this version so I have added a few lines to the script to change it to green by default just for this table
You will also find a B2S in the zip that matches the table look along with a Wheel and DMD image to be used in the front end of your choice

Actually the alien models and playfield are from the JP table.. I re coloured and shaded everything to look like the mod I did of yours. The only thing that is yours on the entire table is the back wall (I tried it out early on to see what it would look like and intended to replace it but forgot it was your image that I used in the end)
I’m really sorry you have an issue with what I did, as I said I have the greatest respect for your work and thought I was doing the right thing by redoing the whole mod with another build instead of yours.

Thank you @Tom for your comment. The last thing I wanted was for it to turn out like this and to be honest its put me off the idea of creating any more mods, which is a shame because all I wanted to do was be able to contribute to the community. If I do do any more maybe I’ll try a ground up build instead next time

I’m a big fan of your work. It’s my understanding you have a link to your tables on “Visual Pinball Junkies – Facebook”? I don’t have a Facebook account for personal reasons, and there is no other way to find your awesome tables except there. Is this correct?
So is there any chance you could provide an alternate download link (or send a pm) to your amazing tables?
No need to worry about me using your work (I have no knowledge of building virtual cabs anyway) for anything except pinball enjoyment.
It’s just a request. If you can’t or won’t I understand.
I hope you continue to build more tables!

At this point I should probably just explain myself.
When I built that table, Tom Tower the founder of the now defunct MBPC helped out (along with DJRobX) with various assets, the models for the aliens and the plastic ramps from memory. When he closed MBPC he asked that his work not be hosted at this site and out of respect I’ve held off doing so. The release to me looked like you pretty much used the elements from that build, the alien models and textures, playfield and many other similar things. It sounds like I over-reacted and may have got that wrong and should have checked first. I didn’t download it but the image looked to be using the assets from the g5k build and only a few days before you asked for permission to upload it which I explained I couldn’t at this point.
This build took months and hundreds of hours and at some point in time I want the opportunity to make it better, probably once VPE is completed and then release in a way that respects those that helped make it.
Hope that explains things and apologies if it doesn’t contain any of the assets from the g5k build.

If there is a way to make AFM better with VPE, my brain will explode!!!!
One thing I don’t understand is if you leave a hobby, why would you care what happens to your work years later, unless I guess the reasons you left were so horrible that you would never want anyone enjoying your work ever again. If I ever leave for bad reasons, I believe I would be pissed off for a while but after I move on who cares. Maybe one of the elders will tell me the story of Tom tower vs VPB.
and @sg1bson, don’t get discouraged but mods only get you so far, find a table we don’t have and build it. It’s a blast

I did and it’s impressive. To my minds eye, this treatment you’ve been working on @sg1bson adds depth and realism. Helps me see things better. TZ get’s played now.
LoadedWeapon’s vp9 night mods fascinated me in a similar way a few years back. Kept me going on my initial build when things didn’t always look so good. Hope you continue honing your talents and if they happen to involve CFTBL all the better. That would be a perfect table for this magic you’re working on.

@bord @makmak I’ll wait to get the green light and take it from there.. in the meantime a friend of mine @nullstep has helped me with the script to add ball shadow (for the life of me I couldn’t get it to work before) so if all is okay with everyone I’ll uploaded the new version over the weekendYou need to login in order to like this post: click here

@sg1bson, If you want to build more of a complete table my suggestion is to look at Geiger. I was tinkering with doing Dino Turbo which is a mod of Firepower. Geiger put out new playfields, plastics and backglass for existing games. I have done a couple like Miss World and I forgot the other one, but there are a couple more with decent playfield images over at VPF. It’s a neat way to do a “mod” and be a real table .
as far as resources, I like to contact people on pinside that own the game I want to build. We have gotten a lot of support from there and even brought some people to the VP community through the partnership. @siggi did a beautiful PF redraw from pics for bounty hunter And I have scans coming from City slicker. Many times people have scans already too
