I noticed after multiball the ball rolling sound seemed to be stuck in a loop.
I am still using VPX 10.2 though.

May 26, 2017 at 6:14 am #55597I’m trying to remember… I think for me the game still ended as usual, while the ball rolling sound was going on, so that would rule out a hidden stuck ball somewhere wouldn’t it.

May 26, 2017 at 6:31 am #55604Total number of balls in the rolling sound script is only at 3, yet there are more in play during multiball. I just upped mine to 5 and played a multiball then with no issue.
Am I right remembering that the total number of balls listed in the rolling sound script, should be one more than the actual number of balls? I seem to have a recollection of JP mentioning that ages ago…. if so, perhaps I should up mine 6, as I definitely saw 5 during multiball just then.

May 28, 2017 at 9:56 am #55887hi very funny table plays well.. thx
two minor details I noticed. Ball get sometimes stuck behind the bumper above Austin. In mojo multi ball mode, the ball is not auto fired from the lane..
hope this helps.

May 29, 2017 at 4:48 pm #55985Fab … would even say shag-a-delic, but except for the movie never heard anyone say it (even in the 70’s). Thanks; it’s a fun table to play. Experienced the rolling sound issue; will try the rustycardores fix.

May 30, 2017 at 8:34 pm #56077Great looking table! I also had the rolling ball issue during multiball but changing the amount of balls in the script helped. I have also lost the ball several times on the left side around the MOJO area. The last thing is, I’ve hit Mini-Me a few solid times and the ball bounces directly off him and right back between the flippers. Hope this helps!!!

May 31, 2017 at 9:58 am #56091Great table, really fun to play and even better than the VP9 table!
There are two places on the table that I’ve gotten balls stuck in odd areas. One is up in the time machine area just to the left of the time machine entrance ramp. In multiball a ball went up the ramp and somehow got under the time machine mechanism. The must have been something that opened up and let the ball in during multiball. I could roll the ball around inside of the cover by the time machine but could not get it out.
I also got a ball stuck under the left side cover next to the Mini-me ramp. I could roll this ball around under the cover by bumping the table and eventually I was able to get it to come out. Again this happened during multiball so I didn’t see exactly how the ball got under there but I think it was from somewhere further up the table on the left.
There must be a couple of ball paths that need to be blocked up?

June 3, 2017 at 7:24 pm #56416Very nice upgrade from the Vp9 version that I play often!
Agree with Randr, for whatever reason I enjoy the VP version more than the real ones I’ve tried. It’s just a bit more shagadelic and colorful, especially now with the VPX effects.

November 2, 2017 at 6:30 pm #68322My favorite table right now. Played many hours. Figured out that pressing both Flippers at the same time fires the Laser.
Found 2 bugs – 1) The ball can leave the table on the left side wall, below the yellow bulb (below mini-me). Scottacus was describing this above. I’ve done it a number of times, even without multiball and is easily repeatable. Once the ball is lost, I’ve had to reset the table.
2) The ball can get stuck on the Drill ramp (on the curve, right above the red bulb) there is a little bit of a sink there and the ball can settle on the clear ramp. A large nudge (so large you will TILT the table) can free it. That ramp is hard to make as the ball usually falls back. If it does make it, it either flies through or it barely makes it up the ramp and gets stuck in the sink hole.
Still a great table. Many thanks for the hard work making it!

June 10, 2019 at 12:28 pm #131541Any chance this table is getting updated at all? I too have the issue of balls leaving the table.. usually when i am on a high scoring run .. :( That being said I have experimented with adding walls, but I wondering if it it being caused by some collision physics though. I notice that when the ball hits a wall it sometimes jumps back. Thoughts?

November 26, 2019 at 8:34 pm #152406When the ball gets shot into “time machine” it just stays there and nothing happens……..Anyone know how I can fix that ?
Thanks

November 27, 2019 at 3:52 pm #152631try this (I have yet to play a single game on it) so its up to you to test it
Still need to do a few things to it but they are cosmetic; table should be fully playable.
-add primitive gates (ramps); the current ones are too small.
-don’t like the current Domes may or may not add Fluppers domes
the only problem I can think of is that I removed all the “Height Walls” that where located at lower left corner.
and moved all the objects that where using those walls. I might of missed one or two.

I imported all the components to a 10.6 blank table given that I wanted to add a primitive PF
and the default (generic) VPX sounds.
the scoop and code for the scoop have been changed.
toilet kicker code has been modified
the physical ramps have been modified
more primitives added
new ramp textures
height of metal ramps have been modified
among other things I forgot.

November 27, 2019 at 4:32 pm #152635Took me about a minute and second shot to spiral before the ball got lost somewhere.

November 27, 2019 at 5:10 pm #152653here is a version with the non essential (toys) primitives removed
https://www.dropbox.com/s/t24mfionr0u8br4/Austin%20Powers%20%28Stern%202001%29NO%20TOYS.vpx?dl=0
you should have a clear view on where the ball gets stuck/lost.
I played a few games
scoop worked
their was no drain sound –> fixed that
lowered the Ramp Roof (Spiral shot) (layer 8) to 130
made multiple shots to the Time Machine spiral and the ball came out
one of the shots the Magnet activated and the ball was stopped on the pink visible ramp.
I need to figure out how to use multiple triggers for the magnet.
toilet works
edit
Ball does get suck here with magnet use, but a nudge will make the ball move
I lowered Ramp292 height to 55
an 80 to 55 slope should be good enough to make the ball roll

November 27, 2019 at 7:28 pm #152669This looks fantastic! Air-balled a ball off the laser beam ramp and got stuck behind the toilet. Couldn’t nudge it out of there…but it was kinda cool! And, you don’t have to remove top glass to get back playing ;) Thanks for updating this 32! Looking forward to the finished product. Also hoping you’re still working on Breakshot. I went through the different tables you put out there of that for testing. But my set-up and ability don’t really lend themselves for serious feedback. Hope it’s still in your queue.

November 29, 2019 at 4:43 pm #152907both tables have been updated
I added “roofs” to the plastics (layer 8) it should keep the ball from falling
into the pockets where the ball can get stuck from a Laser shot.
I also deleted the metal drain guide primitive I made and replaced them
with a more accurate clear plastic drain guide.
