backglass sounds stopped working with ultradmd

In doing some testing today I discovered that for some reason all my vp tables that use ULTRADMD have stopped playing the backglass audio for no apparent reason.  All other tables work just fine and I’ll be darned if I can figure out why this is happening.

Also I am getting a “remote server machine is unavailable or does not exist” error message on a number of ultradmd tables as well.

Everything was working just fine until today…

Any suggestions?

very odd! did you try “-” and “+” keys to turn volume up in game?

Err, umm, well… I guess I get the bozo award for the day.  I forgot ultradmd uses those keys.

Amazingly my sound is now working!

As for the server error message I have determined that it is definitely related to the directb2s backglass in use since the error goes away when I rename the backglass…

update – actually no, it doesn’t go away.  I just managed to get it to work one time.

The problem now seems only to happen with Diablo but it is pretty consistent.
