      Batman Forever (Sega 1995) PuP-Pack

When black bats prowl and riddles shine,
when shivery shivers run down your spine,
      when Two-Faces ring the chime,
beware and be scared – it’s Batman time!

      Happy Halloween!

Are you ready for Batman Forever? I decided to do a PuP-Pack for my favorite comic hero ;)
The updated table by sheltemke is already fun by itself, so the PuP-Pack makes the experience even greater. I had a lot fun making this and hope you all enjoy.

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Visual Pinball X 10.6 or higher
      • PinMAME 3.2 beta or higher
      • DMD Extensions v1.8.0
      • Pinup Player 1.45 or higher

      PUP-PACK OPTIONS:

      • Option 1: 3 Screen – DMD, Topper on Backglass – 16:9 – default
      • Option 2: 2 Screen – DMD on Backglass – 16:9
      • Option 3: 2 Screen – DMD and Topper on Backglass Backbox AIO – 4×3 and 5×4

      LINK TO TABLE:

      https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/batman-forever-mod/

      INSTALLATION:

Drag’n drop “batmanf” folder in pupvideos and replace existing files.
Follow the OPTIONS pictures in the Root directory of the Puppack,
and click on the Option.BAT file that corresponds with your setup.
In the PinMAME settings for Batman Forever (press F1 during gameplay)
and make sure you must have “Use External DMD (DLL)” enabled.

Make sure “resize” is set to the DEFAULT value “fit” in DmdDevice.ini or video events won’t trigger correctly. It should look like this: resize = fit

      GRETTINGS:

Greets to Bambi, John Memeo, MovieGuru, trochjochel, TeamPP & all my friends.

Special Thanks goes to Nailbuster, for the amazing Pinup Platform.

Disclaimer: This is a not for profit, unofficial, fan-pack that is not intended for commercial use. It was made solely for fun.

Thank you for the upload but i was unable to extract the files from the RAR.

Tried two applications and downloaded twice – might need to be re uploaded if others are having issues too.

No video is launched, it always stays the same. However everything is well configured (Use External DMD (DLL)) …
All my other Puppack is working normally.

RAR file is working fine. Get WinRAR from https://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

Maybe its because i am trying to extract it on my Mac. Will try my Windows PC later but I don’t usually have an issue with rar files on my Mac.

Thanks for the reply and screen grab.

I now have it working after extracting on a windows PC.

I also had to make some changes to my dmddevice.ini file for it to trigger the videos and not just show the default video.

Under how to downscale SEGA 192×64 pixel games to smaller displays: fit, fill or stretch

I changed from “Stretch” to “Fit” and the videos are now working.

                      @davidcd13
hopefully this resolves the issue for you as well.

One of your ball save (I think the 2nd one) videos is still .mov format and causes video and table lag once it’s triggered. A quick conversion to .mp4 fixed it, and I checked the rest of the video files…everything else was fine. Look great though and thanks for the hard work! I know how much time creating a pup-pack takes, you’ve done an excellent job!

Should’t be a problem. The file has the correct format (H.264/MPEG-4).

One thing I noticed is that my 3 screen setup was only using 2 screens.  I changed the custom position for the topper to:  0,0,0,100,100

That fired up my topper with the green bat symbol and messages keyed to the game.

                                      fit is on,

                                      tried with all options

if i go in pup edito “help/test” every event is ok and i can see topper change and video scrolling

                                      please help me
