Centigrade 37 (Gottlieb 1977)
This is built on a PF redraw I did last year as a challenge to improve my Illustrator skills. Borgdog saved the day by fixing my ramshackle script and getting this thing to work properly. Thanks to pinuck for permitting use of his VP9 script.

December 23, 2017 at 2:56 pm #71940I knew that there where coming some x-mas presents, but, this one I didn’t expect at all. Thank you so much Bord and merry x-mas to you too.
I’m still playing Paragon at least one a week, swearing when I can’t get up to Loafer’s HS. I always do stupid mistakes or being killed by “it’s pinball”. There has been so many great releases this year and your Paragon is up there among the most memorable.
Curious on this one of course :)

January 10, 2018 at 8:10 pm #73840I started playing the table because I love EMs and saw that this week’s challenge table is this one. What a beautiful table, the artwork is stunning and what makes it even more impressive is that it is done in vector.
I’ve noticed two minor issues with the table. The first is that on my copy of the table the frozen woman’s face on the playfield is missing her left eyebrow. I checked on IPDB and saw that the eyebrow is present in their photos of the playfield. My guess is that the layer with the eyebrow show was not turned on when the playfield was exported to png or jpeg?
The second minor issue is that the match numbers always stay on. I’m not sure if the table is supposed to do this or not.
I assume the theme for this table is some sort of seventies cryogenic sci-fi story since 37 Centigrade is body temperature. Why someone would want to freeze a fem bot is beyond me.  At any rate a great table that is really fun to play, well done!

Looks great was wishing someone would pull this table off, I’m sure happy it was you, and your band of merry men!You need to login in order to like this post: click here

I always thought they were creating a lifeform and the idea is to bring her to life by getting her temperature up to a normal human body temperature. That or they are trying to cure her cold :). Yeah, it’s one of the best EM’s ever made, love it!

January 10, 2018 at 10:00 pm #73849Man @Scottacus, I never noticed the eyebrow before. I have a handful of other tweaks for this one and I’ll try to restore her to her proper look when I make those. Not sure how the match scripting works but those should be off during gameplay.
As for the theme: You guys have better ideas than I do. I just always assumed it was a sci fi metaphor for thawing out a frigid woman.
