Hi Everyone,
I am having a bit of an issue with my color roms. I just finally got them to work……sort of. I patched ACDC 168h. It is now acd_168hc.zip. It works fine when running from setup.exe in VpinMame. But when I go to run the actual table, it crashes. I hope it is a simple fix. I am still learning. Little bit late to the show.
Edit: I just tried Spiderman VE 101c. Same thing. Works with VPinMAME setup.exe, but crashes with table launch.

Hey DeathInc I had the same issue with ACDC 168h I also patched but mine is acd_168h.zip after the patch not acd_168hc.zip….my table loads most of the time but crashes randomly. This is the only table I am having this problem with as I posted in “Pinup Popper relaunching a table”….is yours crashing in pinup popper or launching the table directly from vpx??

Mine crashes directly from VPX. Its a strange problem. I would not expect it to work when I run it directly from VPinMAME setup. But it does. And then as soon as I go to load table. Crash as soon as the Virtual DMD shows the screen. Hope we can get someone to help us.
I use pinball X by the way. But I don’t get that far.

Thank you for your response. I turned off Force Exclusive Fullscreen. Still crashed. Checked registry and ddraw was 0.
I will keep plugging away.

Does the table work correctly with the regular rom

Yes, it works fine with the regular rom. And the color one works with the test in VPinMame. It just does not make sense. Its driving me crazy. I will try it with 1.70 and let you know.

Ok, I downloaded 170 and it worked with the regular rom. Patched it and crashooooo…..
Its also doing the same thing with Spiderman VE 101c. Those are the only two color roms I have right now. Cause whats the sense of more if I can’t get any working.

Yes, changed name in script. And its freezy 1.7.1. And it is an lcd monitor for dmd.

When i had issues with vpx crashing when i would start a table, i had to go to video/graphics options and check alterative depth buffer processing. Â See if that helps out.

That did not work. But thank you for the idea.
I don’t know if this pertains to this situation, but my PUP packs will not trigger the videos. At least the ones that are rom based. All the ones that are Ultra DMD work fine. Ex. Harry Potter, Jaws, Stranger Things, Wizard of Oz.
Its a strange issue. The tables work fine with the regular roms. The patched roms work fine from VPinMAME setup test. But when I go to run the table with the patched roms Crashoooooo. It sucks.

Make sure you try a reboot to help with the strange things that are starting to happen..
Make sure none of the files are blocked…There may be something in here that might be useful for you to try…

I’m guessing you also have use external dmd and colorized dmd checked in your f1 options prior to running table

Yes, I do. Good news!! I think I found the problem.
Outhere pointed me in the right direction. I did some reading and found the answer.
Change this registry line item for at91jit from 1 to 0 fixed it!!!
