Hi All,
I have found another bug that happens rarely when a ball bounces in and out of a scoring zone. Then the score reels don’t update the score properly until the next ball, if it is the last ball then the score is lost. I’m looking at adding some debugs and improving the scoring code which will be in the next version
I knew this was going to be a learning experience, my first table

November 29, 2020 at 7:21 pm #212702Thanks for this ode to the beginnings of pinball.
I haven’t got real nudge and plunger on my pincab, so I might just get half of the experience, but will definitely play the table. You need to login in order to like this post: click here
November 30, 2020 at 6:42 am #212746@bietekwiet I don’t have real nudge or a plunger on my cab either (maybe future upgrade) but the play is quite authentic without it.
BTW I have v1.2 working just running some burn in tests to check for these rare scoring cases. So far it is looking good, I even saw a bounce out from one score to another on the last ball and that was fine. Should release later today

November 30, 2020 at 8:36 am #212766V1.2 is up with quite a few fixes. Test ran for a couple of hours and it looks good on my setup. Hopefully this will be the last bugfix for a while

November 30, 2020 at 10:36 am #212804Thanks for the nice table. In the first attempt 515 score. This makes it my favorite.

and only got one ball. First shot straight into the Game Over pinsYou need to login in order to like this post: click here
November 30, 2020 at 1:23 pm #212839Thanks to stefanaustria’s help on the code and J4miePlayer’s other tweaks, I’ve got the table working nicely now!
Also, really nice job on that ball loading animation, Jamie – I like how it rolls over the plunger into the shooter lane instead of popping in from the side like a coin-op game would.

December 10, 2020 at 8:55 pm #214295Updated to V1.3 as there were a couple of weird bugs and the ball was just slightly too small and could slip through the pins in a couple of places

December 10, 2020 at 11:52 pm #214333Haven’t experienced any of the mentioned issues, but, still – appreciate the update, knowing that when I show this off it most probably won’t crash.

December 11, 2020 at 1:34 pm #214408Thanks Thalamus, Yeah is is pretty rare to see these bugs as you needed to knock a ball that was scoring 100 at the top out of the scoring zone and score something else before the active ball also scored. Only found it during an automated “burn-in” test. Then was manually moving some balls around and found they could fit between the pins in a couple of places.
Little tweaks, but it should now be more robust and it is closer to the real board now with the bigger ball. There is even a place on the playfield that a ball can get stuck and needs a nudge to free it but the real thing is the same

December 11, 2020 at 1:57 pm #214409I have a real one of these sitting right next to my VPin
(Let me know if you need a high res scan of the playfield – kidding ;))

If you have a real one of these can you take a picture of the stand underneath or just measure it. Mine is missing and I bodged it but have no idea if it is the right sizeYou need to login in order to like this post: click here
