No matter which rom I use, I get no rom sounds. This is happening on a handful of tables. Suggestions? Otherwise, great table! :D

First use + and – on the keyboard.

Second look for this guide how to adjust the ROM volume according to the manufacturer:

It actually didn’t work. That’s the first thing that I tried on all the different Corvette roms.

The ones from VPU were the ones I tried. I just downloaded the one from VPForums and it worked just fine. :)

This table is phenomenal thank you so much. I like it so much I started a pinsound package remake with music of Kavinsky. If anyone is interested shoot me a message!

@luger81 : Ok, this is the deal with VPU and roms. It is mainly maintained by Carny. It is using split sets. It basically means, you have one mother rom and children. Then, lets say that there are 4 versions of the rom avail. You have the mother, and 3 children. If the table script uses a “children” rom and you don’t have copy of the mother. You might get into troubles. It might be sound, or something else. The mother is often the largest sized download. Downloading it elsewhere it might be that what you download has the extra file, you start to post that VPF or wherever you’ve found it, has the correct rom. Well, maybe for your case it can be, if you download only one rom. But, if you’ve got all the roms, then VPU is to the best of my knowledge very close to 100% up to date on all the changes throughout the years because of Carny. He still is the guy that compiles the upstream vpm for us, he is following and replacing roms that has been fixed by the devs. NONE other site does this !!! But, yes, you might find a french site, a dropbox, a whatever that has this rom “fixed”.

I’ve got 19G of roms. That is because I from time to time run audit on the roms and kind of make all my roms “mothers”, I waste space that way, but, it doesn’t cost me much since I use clrmame pro to do the job for me. Wasted diskspace, you might argue, but, I’m fine with that. Romcenter is another alternative. I know that 32a is using that one.

This is a hobby where we are emulating real pinball machines. Their roms are being dumped and sometimes they are actually re-dumped or there are other changes. Devs have a few times since I’ve started this hobby, decided to change the roms names. Things like this will make you hurt if you don’t audit your roms sometime down the line.

I can assure you. VPDB and VPF is not the best place to look. If you want to do it proper, get all the roms “mother and children” from VPU and you won’t have issues.

Thanks for the table and the 1.3 update.

On 1.3 I do have an annoying issue:

when shooting the ball into the pit, it gets popped out, onto the first rail into the most left rail and then it should drop into the left inlane.

Now mostly it does but also very often it just goes into the left outlane causing a ball loss….(which is annoying at least…)

Didn’t notice this problem with 1.1 but on 1.3: 3..4 out of 10 is into the outlane.

Didn’t change POV, just as is.

                                            Thanks!
