July 1, 2020 at 11:52 pm #189474Hmm. Seeing this being update, is it what is required for me to take out the monitor and fix the issues I’ve currently have. ( no left magna save and dead dof ) – It might very much be. I’ve had the urge to play this for a long time now, and I miss playing Hardbody too. Thanks for the update, and probably tipping the scale to get my ass on this task @zigbane

July 2, 2020 at 10:59 am #189538I wonder if it depends on the VPX version. I am not getting any kind of error like that, but maybe others can chime in.
I added flupper’s newest flasher routine and that is where you are getting the error.
are you able to tell if you are running the newest version of VPX and/or what build?

If 1.6 when did you last update?
Maybe try to re download it?

July 2, 2020 at 1:28 pm #189575I believe you’re answering this correctly. Even though I haven’t fixed my issues yet. Was able to play and test all shots. No issues with either 10.6.1 or 10.7beta for me. It might very well be a older 10.6 he is using. I believe I’ve seen that error before, but, just can’t with 100% certainty say it was because of outdated vp. Pretty sure it is on his end though. One suggestion though. Putting samples in the backglass isn’t going to make ssf users very happy. In my opinion, the only sample that might belong there is the knocker. Love the updated flashers, so, thanks to you and flupper. I will look at my issues – soon. Irritating needing to let the left out-lane drain when I’m pressing the damn button already :)

July 2, 2020 at 2:18 pm #189593Thanks for checking and verifying! Im not home to check but I think I put an option in there to use flipper buttons to also trigger the magna saves for people without those buttons (or who have messed up buttons lol). Or maybe that was Strange Science.  Being this was my first table I did, I wasn’t aware of the differences in soundlocations. But I’ll check those and correct in a minor update.

July 10, 2020 at 4:42 pm #190751Thanks konfad. But it wasn’t meant to be funny. It’s dungeons and dragons.

August 4, 2020 at 11:56 pm #194010This is a unique table and it’s quite fun. I think the plunger is launching the ball with too much force though. No matter how much force I use to launch the ball when it returns from the left ramp (whether it goes half way up or all the way around), it’s not returning through the right inlane, it’s hitting the top of it and bouncing over to the left flipper. I watched people playing on the real table and most of the time the ball is going through the inlane giving them a clean return and nice setup rather than a bouncey ball through the playfield. During regular play if the ball goes half way up the left ramp it returns properly through the inlane most of the time, meaning I think the problem is the plunger strength is just way to high. What do you think?
I play on desktop btw.

August 5, 2020 at 3:04 am #194017Hi Link, feel free to mess with the plunger settings. whatever you come up with that makes the table more realistic and plays better, I’ll definitely add to a future update! Let me know what you find. Thanks!
