I did have the same issue with other machines. I’m not sure if my answer is “the best” but I *am* sure it will help you. When I put only 1 ROM file in the ROM folder, I sometimes also get no sound. So I put ALL ROM files for that machine into the ROM folder and it worked. In the case of Earthshaker that would be not only esha_la3, but also l4c, la1, lg1, lg2, ma3, pa1, pa4 and pr4. You can find those in the ROM set that is on PleasureDome. I haven’t sorted out if machines will work with less ROM files, so if someone could fill this in that would be great. Will you let me know if you’ve got the sounds working?

You open setup.exe – via that one you open up the rom and see what files it expects. I use clmame pro from time to time to “fix” my rom collection. VPU has to the best of my knowledge a complete split set. That means, you have to had the parent and children to be sure that all the rom variants is going to work. And, they should stay zipped.

…finally getting to this.  LoadedWeapon’s night mod version is one of the last 9’s still on my cab.  Thanks for getting this brought up to X 32!  Spent some time loading, then re-loading.  Playing, and re-loading.  Loving the game-play but I have pitch-black back and sidewalls.  Should they be lower-playfield blue?  And I’ve tried all my limited tricks but I cannot get the lower two wireforms to look right.   Probably settings on my end, but maybe someone has experienced this also and has a fix/setting?
