Awesome, I’ll put that on my to-do list then!
All my plastics are clean and complete so you’ll have good material to work with (just be patient I really need the clear to cure
My backglass has some little flaking but nothing that photoshop couldn’t fix. The red is faded but again I think we’ll be able to correct that easily (bgresto.com did one lately, could be a good source to compare with).
I’m sure you’ll find someone for the tunnel scripting. Basically, when you start a game, there’s a lighting sequence from 1000-2000-3000-4000-5000 and repeat. When the ball rolls over “stop tunnel” the light stops on a number. When it rolls over (or hit) a “collect tunnel” the number adds up to the score (you definitely want to get 5000 with the plunger shot). “Start tunnel” will simply restart the sequence, and so on.
Anyway, that 3D tunnel is truly mesmerizing and the reel assembly who does this is even more impressive, a very clever little piece of

No pressure at all. Excited to have good resources but the timeline is whatever is best for you and your machine. So glad you’re willing to take the time to do it.

November 14, 2017 at 9:48 am #69187And I need a scanner too
Any recommendation?
EDIT: Pinside shows that old school HP 4600 flatbed scanners are the way to go (with 20% overlap, lets Photoshop easily stitch the scans together). I’ll look after one.

November 14, 2017 at 9:56 am #69189[edit: you beat me to it]
I have a nice scanner at the office that I use so no idea about home scanners. Seems like a flatbed with a removable cover wouldn’t be too hard to find.
Pinside has an older thread on the topic that I never waded too far into.

The other option is finding a local large format scanner and shelling out a little cash to have a perfect scan with no stitching needed. That is where my EBD playfield came from and it is stunning how much detail is captured.

November 14, 2017 at 9:58 am #69191for scanning playfields unfortunately not many new options. for home use the best used option from ebay is an HP scanjet 4600/4670 see through scanner, still takes 12-15 scans to do a playfield but much better than smaller alternatives. or if you want to take somewhere and get a cruse scan done for $$ that would be the ultimate.
edit: and you both beat me to it

November 14, 2017 at 10:01 am #69192both my golden arrow and pinball pool playfields I did with my hp 4670 it’s a finicky bastard but turned out all right. I clamped a straight edge to the playfield for each column of scans to help keep it all aligned better
