November 9, 2020 at 2:35 pm #209600My high score on the real machine is over 8 mil. My settings on the real one seem to be different from the mame version though as a plunge is always going to the right kicker. My machine it varies a lot. Must be a setting somewhere. I thought my real machine was set stock other than freeplay.
I think this one plays a bit harder than mine as it is quite fast. Mine is actually a bit slower at 7 degrees incline. Playing this version should make me much better at my real one :)
Thanks for the hard work on this. Beautiful recreation

One suggestion, you may want to also tag this as VR so that it also shows up under VR tables downloads since it currently does not. Thanks again!!

November 10, 2020 at 3:18 am #209658Table looks and plays really cool, thank you so much!!! For my taste, I will try to adjust physics to the latest JP’s physics which feel even more unreal real (a bit less jumpy on rubbers and a bit “heavier ball” feeling (dunno how to describe)) nevertheless yours is really cool and maybe exactly like the real thing which I have never played.
One remark on the rom: what on earth did williams think when recording the callouts??? Sounds like it was intended for a black knight table or such…(“you will die, hahaha”), but not like “pilots conversations”… anyone else?
Again thanks for this great simulation, i will play it a lot!

November 10, 2020 at 11:49 am #209682Thankyou for this, looks visually lovely! I came across an issue on my first play, but i know i set up the tables POV so it could be that I needed to reload. But anyway, a second ball entered the left central pod ( a ball was already there ) of the table and it crashed with repeated music. Table still showed but I had to task manager and end it.
Nice moves

November 10, 2020 at 2:22 pm #209695Hmm. That reminds me, for my crash, the same thing had happened one an earlier game, but, the ball search came into play and I forgot that it had happened. Maybe that is the reason for my crash later on. I’ll keep an eye out for that – thanks.

November 10, 2020 at 2:29 pm #209696Thanks for the update. The physics of the table were perfect. They can‘t be better. Today I’ve got a new highscore with 12,2 million..
The only thing is, that several times the ball stucks in the upper kicker, I always heared the repeating voice “fire” and if I don’t nudge the table up, it never ends.

November 10, 2020 at 2:39 pm #209698Hmm. That is not what I saw. Or maybe I’m more patient than you ? I waited. But, anyway. Sounds like there is some small issues with that kicker.

You don’t play it in VR, I think. If you have the possibility, you will notice, that the playing is much better then in 2D. The physics are different or other, it feels much better. The reaction and handling of the bats is faster.
I play nearly 50 games and never had a crash; but only play VR.

November 10, 2020 at 9:05 pm #209715I know, noob question, but how do I put this table in particular into cabinet mode? All my other tables switch with Force Cabinet option selected except this one.

November 11, 2020 at 11:20 am #209822Currently working on the next rev for F14. I have revised the up-kicker trigger to hopefully avoid bad kicks, and fixed a few other bugs. Also some additional fixes for the VR room. SHould be a few more fancy “bells and whistles”.
