May 17, 2016 at 7:05 am #22632I have Launch Ball/Enter (i’m not using a plunger), Coin & Start on the front of my cab.
On the sides: Flipper & Magnasave
I also have an EXIT button for PinballX on my lockbar (I have MAME controls on my lock bar so I’m just using one of those, but you may want to position EXIT on the front of the cab)
Note: You can assign a “shift key” if using an iPac2 as your keyboard emulator and this allows you to assign a second function to each of the other buttons if you want.

May 17, 2016 at 7:13 am #22635Keep it simple and few buttons as you can!
I have start, coin and quit on left side front. launch button, plunger and under plunger a by in button. that all for front of cab. i have a true pinball coin door with the service buttons working as service buttons so i suggest you do that too makes changing volume or game options just like a real pinball

May 17, 2016 at 7:23 am #22639btw… I would suggest that you setup a working demo just using a keyboard (I assume you have that now anyway) and take a note on how many different buttons you are using to play VP and also operate the front end. Basically you will need a button for every key you press on the keyboard.
Cabs can be setup a number of different ways (even though the basic controls will always be the same) so find the combination that works for you before you start drilling holes ;)
