This is my second table which was edited from the Black Sabbath table.  Grohl is God!

      Included in the zip:

      vpx file

README.txt file (for music and backglass video download links)

      a Tarcisio Wheel image

      Ultradmd files

Note: The backglass is a video (.mp4) to use with your front end so keep the bg display on so it plays with the table.

Special shout-out to GoldChicco! Thanks you again for all your help with my questions, you the man!

What is the approximate time that it takes to do this?  I’m looking to do a music table as well.  THX

you mean the weird screenshot image that “was” there at first? yeah for some reason when I uploaded the a actual screenshot it completely changes it to something else. I think it was how I had the file named when uploading.

If you use the popper front end, in game manager, select the table, there is a option to keep display on.

I believe you can but I don’t know how. In my opinion Popper is the better frontend.

In Game Manager make sure Hide Backglass is uncheck for this table and place the backglass video file in the media\backglasss Visual Pinball folder (same folder where you place your backglass videos for PinballX)

If I put 2 in the ” Keep Displays On” box to keep the video on the BG, the game will launch but will not start. Can’t add credits either. If I remove the 2 so the BG goes blank when I launch the game, the table plays fine. Any suggestions on what is causing this?  Same exact thing with the Coldplay table. Thanks

your losing PF focus. try moving your mouse and click on the playfield then see if you can add credits then. I have the same issue and it seems to happen with ultra dmd tables. I’ve read a lot of fixes none work so I just keep my keyboard near by.

You don’t need to setup the video in a front-end if you have the Pinup Player installed (and my god you should!).  I’ve created a generic pup pack that just plays a video on the backglass.  To use:  Extract  the attached zip file in the PUPVideos directory of the table, in this case FOOFIGHTERS.  It will create 3 files and a movie directory, simple copy your video file , in this case foofighters.mp4, into the directory and rename it BackGlassMovie.mp4.  You can launch the table anywhere and the video will work.  If you would rather have a regular Backglass for this table I created one as well, it is the B2S section of this site.  Rock on!

I did try this and it works but I don’t see the difference between doing this and just keeping your display set to on in game manager.

The difference is this will work with any front-end, or by just double clicking on the VPX file (i.e. no front-end)

Another advantage for me is that I can use a  custom pinupplayer.ini file. This helps on my 2-screen mini vpin that has a 4:3 backglass. I create a 16:9 ‘window’ at the top of the screen for the backglass video and the DMD ‘window’ fits nicely on the bottom.
