This is a VPX conversion of Lovthatapex and Destruk’s 1982 Gottlieb Caveman table. Big thanks to Lovthatapex and Destruk for their work. This table was a pain in the arse to convert, because it crashes half the time, at least on my computer. It doesn’t seem to be the VPX crashing it, I think its the pinmame emulation. So if it crashes on you, just open it again, and hope it starts. once it starts, its fine. If anybody has a answer to this, please let me know. Feel free to fix it up or modify it. ;)
It needs the rom named “caveman.zip”. Hopefully you have a friend who has it, because the Gottlieb roms were pulled from all of the VP sites. Quietly ask your friend through PM or hey call him and invite him over for dinner. :)

Maybe you have the ROM, but I’m sure, you installation is missing something. The table works. No crash! So it’s your fault.

What kind of crash did you get?
Did you use the 10.5 All-in-One installer? https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/vpx-installer-10-5-0/
If you get an error saying the ROM didn’t load, then there’s something wrong with your ROM, either you don’t have it or it’s not the right ROM. Most websites that host Gottlieb ROMs have been hit with DMCA takedowns, so no one here can help you regarding ROM issues.Be more considerate when asking for help in the future. Don’t insult the hard work and effort put into making this content free-of-charge for anyone who wants it. If something doesn’t work for you, just ask why that may happen instead of complaining about what you think is a broken release. Even if it was broken, just report the bug you have so it can get fixed or someone can help. Calling anyone’s work here garbage will make you a lot of enemies. This is a hobby for people, not a product you’re paying for.

Some people, I swear.. I think this is the same guy from the Facebook group. Basically helpless. Asks where he can find a b2S file, gets an answer and then complains that he didn’t get a direct link. Not just a leech but a charmless leech.

They are the arrow keys on a keyboard. Search the script for “KeyDown” and “KeyUp” and you will see the keycodes assigned to those joystick moves. Here is a helpful chart on keycodes. https://www.vpforums.org/Tutorials/KeyCodes.html
