I’m from Southern California so I should be able to whoop all your butts on this one. I’m always excellent, never rude, and I’ve got the gift of gab. In my youth, I could skate, surf, and ski in the same day… so yeah… take that.
The game of the week for August 19-25 is Dr. Dude. It was selected by Doogie.
We had some good input regarding carryover rewards from Thalamus regarding pins that have jackpots that build between rounds. So… new requirement! Everyone is required to turn on Adjustment 32, Contest Game. This resets the Dude-o-Meter to every new game (first multi-ball is Major Dude, second multi-ball is Super Dude). We will work on a general rule regarding pins that have jackpots that build between rounds. For now, for Dr. Dude, the winner must show proof of the Adjustment 32 change!
NOTE: To keep the “playfield even” for people with different amounts of time to play, there is a 50 game per week limit.

During multiball, if you can catch a ball on the left flipper, the jackpot shot is made from the right flipper and the ramp returns it to the right flipper, so I think someone with better consistency than me can definitely abuse multiball for a monstrous score.Attachments:

August 22, 2018 at 12:21 am #96106Nice score Freelunch. I haven’t started playing this table this week. But, if I remember correctly 20M isn’t very far from my GC.

August 23, 2018 at 3:11 pm #96213So. After setting the rom to competition settings I had to call my virtual friend Bowen Kerins over for a fair round of Dr. Dude.
With a professional controlling the flippers and know how on how to exploit the fact that extra balls was still enabled. I lost by a landslide.
Ok. well. The more true story. Played 11 games. Then decided to have a two player game and call it quits. First player 3 extra balls and even a Lazarus while in MB ! That almost never happens in the virtual world but thanks to this great recreation it is proven to be possible. I missed a whole lot of potential high scoring shots, but, since I managed to keep the ball alive it ended up on a fairly high score. What an excellent re-creation this table is.
Thank you very much Bill !
Btw. GC was 44 something, and of course without the comp mode set. But, that on a different version that didn’t plays a well as this one. I should have reset the game.

August 26, 2018 at 10:50 am #96495Damn. I knew I should not have invited Kerins. Didn’t expect my score to be disqualified because of it though
If the judge should reconsider. Then I hope we get to play Alien Star recreated by BorgDog.

With these settings
I just recently re-discovered Victory and that is also a fun table that grows on you. Especially if you change the game settings. So, be prepared. I might choose that one at at later date.

August 26, 2018 at 2:24 pm #96503Ya Kerins definitely has the pick. Tell him to sign up on the forum @Thalamus haha. Until we hear from Kerins, I suppose we’ll have to do with second place, which was @Thalamus and not me.
