I wanted to upgrade my Integrated graphics card. My computer can use PCI Express x16 graphics cards. It has a 250 watt power supply. Are there any graphic cards that would work in my computer?

What is your budget?
There are several older cards that do not require additional power like the GTX 1050 that would work with your power supply

January 22, 2021 at 3:04 pm #220496Not too much as VPX is the only thing I play on my computer. I would like one to be able to run in 1920×1080 and at least 60 fps.

January 28, 2021 at 1:36 am #221335I go with MSI GeForce, the biggest you can reasonably afford.
I’ve used both MSI 1080TI and 1070.. all work great. Always good to future proof though.Never take advice from me,

January 28, 2021 at 11:45 pm #221479Hey @bobjackson . 250w is not going to handle much. Not sure that can handle a 1050. I am still running a GT710 (low profile) that can run almost all tables in 1080 and run the bg also. I have used this as my ‘starter’ card for two years. And they are cheap. Good way to get started toward…the future.

January 31, 2021 at 9:47 pm #221905JR, Is this the graphics card you are talking about? If it runs VPX at 1080 with at leat 60 fps and no ball stutter, I will get it. https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GT-710-2GD3-LP/dp/B01DOFD0G8/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Gt+710&qid=1612150833&sr=8-2

January 31, 2021 at 10:09 pm #221907Yep. If you need a low-power graphic card it will get you by. Has for me for over two years. I figured it would be a temporary …but I’ve found myself using it longer than I thought.

February 1, 2021 at 8:58 pm #222050JR, I was just going to order this at Amazon, but there are two versions. What is the difference between the GT 710 2g3d and the GT 710 2g3dh. The one without the H has a fan. Will the one with the fan still work with my 250 watt power supply or should I get the other one. Thank You. https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GT-710-2GD3-LP/dp/B01DOFD0G8/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Gt+710&qid=1612150833&sr=8-2

February 1, 2021 at 11:07 pm #222064I am far from a PC expert…so I went and checked the box mine came in…the one with the fan. And it has 300w listed as minimum requirement. There has to be specs/requirements listed somewhere for the other one. I’d hold off until you can find that. Or someone else maybe chimes in. Good luck!

February 1, 2021 at 11:26 pm #222065Don’t know what kind of computer you have. But, I agree with @jfr1 on that you should not ignore the fact that a PSU upgrade might be required. It is awful to get a new card only to learn that you don’t have the juice to run it. Living on the edge can give you all sorts of odd crashes. It is not only the GPU that requires power so the bare minimum requirements is often to be avoided too.
