      Greetings!

Over the last few weeks I’ve been setting up my first VPin cab.

Got some invaluable guidance from two kind souls I met online without whom I would have been highly frustrated I’m sure.

Long story short, after modding an A1UP arcade cabinet last year, I badly wanted to take the plunge into virtual pinball.  Played a very nice virtual pinball cabinet at the Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas and I was obsessed.

An expensive kit or prebuilt cabinet was out of my price range.  Keeping this project under $600 was challenging.  To date, I’m at about $700 all in.  Used i5 PC, 1060 graphics card, used 42″ LG tv, donated 30″ Dell monitor from work, 15″ LCD monitor from Amazon.  Simple USB controller and buttons.  Roland speakers with built in amp.  $150 in plywood, screws, paint, and some misc. cables.

It’s been a real group effort bringing together old friends for the carpentry and new ones to help configure the software.

      Loving it!
What a great hobby and community.
This website has been amazing too.
And sharing pinball tables I grew up on with our son has been incredible.
      Cheers! :yahoo:  BPinbot

Great work! Looks like you’ve been having a lot of fun with it.

          Thanks Gwen.

It’s been a blast after some initial challenges.

Was up two nights in a row until 330am configuring tables and finding the right front end art.  Lol.

Now to play with our son and some old friends!

          What a trip.  :)
